GK from St Louis area. -
Agreed, Antino had 5 steals last night!
-
Agreed, this one was with about 90 seconds left that is our typical inbound lob to Big Dog. We were up 5 I believe and were in the one in one and you knew they would foul him right away.
-
Dang if we would have missed one more three and I would have won . . . but then the game would be in OT, so I will take my loss ahead of the Zips.
-
NIU site lists ESPN3.
-
Definitely rooting for the Bulls to not be the 4-5 or 8-9 seed as I don't want to seem them until the championship. They are long, athletic and can attack the rim.
-
The last possession where Big Dog made one of 2 free throws to win? I only count 5 on the ESPN3 replay.
-
Kwan heard what I was saying a few weeks ago about he would be a good fit for the Cavs and is using today as his tryout in front of the King.

I hear Lebron could be in attendance but I haven't seen him yet
-
Outside of the normal 3 that come, I am bringing an additional 2.

I think we are in "win now" mode with Kwan and Big Dog as seniors. I expect us to give Mike another week or two off and then get him to where he is giving us 5-10 minutes a night. We are going to need him when Big Dog and/or Kwan get in foul trouble against better teams in the MAC.

So today Webster was out on the court to help pick up the winning duck. My son actually threw it and won. When we went to claim the prize, not only did we get the cash, but Webster was there and ave us a voucher for 4 tickets to any Ducks game this year. My son said it was the best day ever!

He slowed down with only 3 assists in the 4th.

Just to clarify, Highest Scoring Zips guard? Or does Other count if an OU guard outscores ours?

Zips @ Central Michigan (Keene to NBA draft)

I agree. I think Dog is our MVP, because if you take him away from our team, our offense has to change entirely and we don't play that well when he is not out there. Not sure Dog is quick enough for the NBA but could definately make a 10-15 year playing career overseas if he chooses like many other Zips. For Kwan, I want to think he may get a "look" from NBA teams (If Rischaun Holmes can make it I think Kwan has a chance). He's 6'10 so I think he has decent size/length to play power forward. Many of the 4's in the NBA are more perimeter offensive players (which Kwan is). He moves pretty well for his size to be able to handle pick and rolls defensively (ignore almost falling down on the crossover and banked 3 last night). I would love for the Cavs to get him (not sure if they have a second round pick this year or as an UDFA) to give them someone else to spell Love other than Frye (plus he would be cheap for a team that is so over the cap). Obviously, the major knock is he doesn't really have a low post offensive game but that wouldn't be needed on a team like the Cavs. You just need to rebound, play defense, and hit spot up jumpers. -
K. Maybe they are only doing basketball only subscribers. I did the all sports alumni deal this year.

Did you get something in an email on this or through snail mail? I never received it. I will stop by for the Ohio game and check on mine. Need more Zips stuff to display in the basement.

I have noticed the same. I actually brought my nephew Tuesday that I mentioned in another thread I had a bet with on Bosa/Brown tackles to wear a jersey. He actually brought money and was going to buy an Akron shirt and I told him to wait to see if he would catch one. Ironically enough he was one of the few to catch a shirt that made it to the track. Even after getting it he still wanted to buy one but I told him to hold off and I would get him one at the Walmart on Arlington for 1/3 of the cost of the team shop. I may be successful in converting him over to a Zips fan!

2017 Commit: Alex Ramart, QB, Foster HS (Texas)
zippyfan34 replied to Blue & Gold's topic in Akron Zips Football Recruiting
Here's to hoping he doesn't get any playing time the first year and he decides to transfer here where he will see the field more -
Not a great picture as he put it on and then took it off saying my challenge was only to wear it and not that it had to be on for the whole party!
-
I (hopefully) suckered my 13 year old nephew into a bet for the game. We have a Christmas party at my dad's on Monday. If Jatavis has more tackles than Bosa, I bring a Zips jersey for him to wear and if Bosa has more tackles he brings me an OSU jersey to wear. Come on Jatavis, just one more tackle!
