UMass enjoys fouling the hell out of people and the refs actually call it. My fear would be a game in the tourney where the refs decide to “let em play” or that they can’t call too many fouls for the entertainment value, and then UMass gets the benefit.

Both these guys are fantastic. Evan is the prototype for me as a representative of Akron Basketball (and we’ve had alot of good ones). Smart, charismatic, funny, spiritual, family/teammate oriented… and the dude loves country music and Major League?! Come on. Especially right before the Kent game and their decades-long history of thugs and idiots. And I don’t know who the interviewer is, but I’ve watched a couple of his across multiple sports and he’s GREAT. Well prepared but not stiff, asks great follow-ups, and puts the athletes at ease. I looked at the coaches section which showed yearly results. The worst year (880) was the transition year that shows as Arth+Joe. Not sure where to assign that, especially if changing coaches causes some guys to quit school.

Agree. As a former OT with a big waist and even bigger feet, I enjoyed shopping Zips gear that actually fit. Plus it was great to pick up cleats for my three boys. Cheaper than Dicks and in sweet Akron colors.

This was me, except surrounded by Miami fans. I told them they were soft, that the floor mopper was going to tear a tricep with all the work he had to do from their flopping, and that they wouldn't shoot 75% for the game. Miami fan told me to get used to it, and I told him I’m used to being at the championship game, but they only show up once a decade. And that their wives all have plastic surgery.
