  1. I don't see the big deal Keener????? Lighten up man.
  2. And the SEC only represents 16 percent of all NFL players. Which is the most. I believe there are eleven MAC players left on the four NFL playoff team's active rosters.
  3. Scattered? There are 66 MAC players in the NFL, it's not like there is just a "handful." The big10 has 235 and conference USA has 85 just for reference. Every year there are MAC players drafted in the NFL, this year will be no different. Last year the MAC had 2 first rounders, and 8 players overall drafted. MAC players also get signed as undrafted players and make the team as Oliver did this year with SD.
  4. You would think a coach that seems to pride himself on defense AND rotating deep on the bench would have one other player that would be able to help slow Spoonman down. At least provide help, or double team? If Kwan isn't the MVP, who is?
  5. Is Cheatham the Zips MVP?
  6. Steelers sure do like their MAC players, signed Roosevelt Nix.
  7. I would assume GT is in Arlington to watch his favorite team play Monday night. I come here to read the opinions of Zips fans. DIG was at the game and he wrote about it (see two posts above). I would encourage any member that was at the game to write a little something. Seems like I'm in the minority, but that's what I enjoy the most about ZN.
  8. More defense with the feet (position), less with the hands will get a lot less whistles. Basketball fundamentals: You must not just "reach-in" and take a swipe at the ball as the player dribbles by you (usually a foul)...instead you must move your feet, hustle and stay with your man, and prevent him/her from getting to the basket by getting yourself into proper position. Also, when you "reach-in", you lose your defensive stance and balance and are now easy for the offensive player to get around.
  9. Understood. I just didn't want members to think that we don't keep an eye on accounts. Hope he/she is just on a long vacation somewhere warm.
  10. I can't seem to find it. Please provide a link where James admits his mistake and asks for forgiveness. Per DIG:
  11. No problem, as long as you do it in an appropriate thread. I would suggest on that has Bowden's name in the topic. Please provide a link where James admits his mistake and asks for forgiveness.
  12. If it were on topic, I might. I might even click on a link if you provided it. Maybe you should start a new post about it. Should go over well on a ZN board. Maybe take it over to the Ken+ board, you'll get more reaction there...but probably not.
  13. Then source it, and link it.
  14. Love Frenchy....but he can add gasoline to an obtuse fire.
  15. I didn't realize that. Your right then, Cooper = James (minus an awful call by one ref and being kicked out of coaching).
  16. One stopped posting in the beginning of November, the other stopped posting at the end of November. I'm pretty sure Zipmeister used to comment on GP1's posts. I think Zipmeister started calling GP1 "the grate" one too.
  17. James & Boz's character rightfully questioned. Perspective: Pete Rose. I would bet if the correct non call was made in the Miami game, James isn't even on a consideration list.
  18. Lots of fouls and the opponents shooting well usually equals lazy defense. It added up last night.
  19. He is probably pretty distracted getting ready for his favorite team to play in the National Championship game.
  20. I know how you feel, ZN lost GP1 and Zipmeister.
  21. Who are the announcers? Edit: Television: ESPNU. Jim Barbar (play-by-play) and Steve Donahue (analyst).
  22. Does coach Bowden have a relationship with Braxton Miller?
  23. I know I'm in the minority, but I wish Toledo and Northern Illinois replaced EMU and UMass. Start making posters now for the Tuesday home games. I'm taking ideas for text.
  24. Penn State in '93 Xavier in '96 (one of the best games I witnessed at the JAR 111-113, Jimmal scored 44 in a triple overtime loss) St Joseph's '97 Purdue, Rhode Island and Wyoming in 2000 Duquesne has been to the JAR a few times if they count Dayton '08 PS I miss Huggins.
  25. I just wish we could practice as much as Columbus can! How valuable would that be????? I could care less about a trip, that doesn't improve your team.
