Does Reghi announce any CUSA games?
-
Why did you not start the thread, instead of posting multiple times in multiple threads? You started this one complaining with in inappropriate thread title. Nobody was "woken up." Everybody has been well aware of the issue. Like I have replied multiple times, contact Mr. Wistrcill, he responds to thoughtful written emails, and it's HIS JOB, not ZN's. Please inform us in this thread what knowledge you gain.
-
Agreed. Congratulations, I enjoyed watching all four this season. When I see the below photo, it reminds me of the faces of the guys after the Pitt game. That's the moment I'm taking away from this season.
-
Thank you for starting this thread. From now on, any complaints in the game threads about the video will now be moved to here or deleted (if it just says "video sucks"). Yes, the video is not good. Everybody at ZN knows this. No need to fill every game thread with the same thing over and over. ZN members are tired of reading it. ZN has zero control over the feed. Contact the proper people. Carry on...in this thread.

Here are the highlights. I always thought the general defensive philosophy of "knock it down" on the hail mary pass was inaccurate. Disturb the flightpath of the ball. I don't care how you do it. If the ball is in front of you, great, send it to the ground, but if it's over your head and the receiver is behind you, it's just not smart to try to "knock it down". I blame ESPN talking heads.

16 turnovers don't stop the Rockets from knocking off CSU.
-
Nice! You might want to send that to Frenchy, during the broadcast he said "man, I would like to see a replay of that one!"

Anyone ever tailgate for a Chargers game? One of the cooler NFL tailgating venues IMO. You almost don't want to walk into the game. I say we set up something similar at the Rubber Bowl next year during the games.
-
Thanks for making me aware, I have yet to see him play, but his stats look impressive. Makes me want to attend the January 27th game.
-
Best part of the game so far is listening to Frenchy and Dunn's open mics during commercial.

Video here.

For posters that like to discuss the games officiating. Critics, who is assigned to the game, security breaches, overall college basketball officiating, who calls the most fouls, who calls the least fouls, whatever you like to discuss that pertains to the striped shirt guys. This is THE place to do it. Enjoy.

I'm not seeing the purpose of locking this. If I do, it will get pushed to the bottom and not read. If something is inappropriate it will get deleted like everything else. You would be surprised how many people read without commenting. I'm sure some will miss reading your thoughts even though they don't post about it. I will miss your analysis on Zips games. Not that I agreed with everything, but I appreciated your unique posting style. If you don't enjoy something, it's not worth doing. Maybe someday you will find the Zips enjoyable again and decide to return. You are always welcome here if you change your mind. Good luck.

Since there is no line, he doesn't have to worry. Central Michigan beat them by 32, while OU beat them by 9. I would guess we will fall somewhere in between.
-
You don't, and I enjoy the perspective. Thanks for taking the time to post. I don't have an answer, or additional information for you at this time, but I'll consider finding out in the future. Here are some specific NFL workouts that are interesting. BTW, we need to add some different workouts for our receivers to help strengthen their hands. I went to camp the year that Santonio Holmes wore weighted gloves during training camp to strengthen his hands. Big difference the following season. If the Zips don't own ten JUGS machines, get them. If they do own them, please double the time spent using them. I can tell you what young NFL receiver has a chance to break through by watching which one stays after practice and works another hour on the JUGS machine. Odell Beckham, how to make an amazing catch.

I haven't watched a complete show in a long time. That show is the most deleted (without watching) show on my DVR. It really isn't made for me since I don't learn anything. I'm not sure what answers you thought we were going to learn, but I did waste 17 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. There are new guys on the team next year? The "super six?" We knew that. I did like the piece on Chuck Amato, but would prefer it was on AJ, since I know very little about him. I probably won't tune back, I can only watch the same highlight and commercials once a year to remind myself why I don't watch. That show needs a makeover BAD. It's like they don't want you to be a Zips fan. I feel bad for TB while I watch. Somebody post if something changes.

I believe coach Bowden has repeated many times "we need to find a way to win in the MAC." If it's not his top priority, it's pretty close. Maybe your speaking about fans though? If that's the case... As a fan, the one thing I value about both our basketball and football coach is their honesty. I think if you ask both a question (and I have), they give you a very honest answer. I would be disappointed to hear coach Bowden give an untruthful answer. I hate listening to Belichick and Tomlin answer questions with cliche after cliche, you learn nothing. If you were looking for things to value as an Akron fan, I would put "coaches thoughtful answers to questions" on the list somewhere. Unfortunately it's not a long list, but I can at least appreciate this. Wouldn't it be cool to write for the local paper with that quality out there?

He is my frontrunner for this season's coveted Jawanza Moore Award™. Edit: HT, you beat me to it. Nice.

I originally put these three criteria to next years success in the Pohl Poll, but it really belongs here: • Tra'Von needs to be coach Bowden's next Janoris Jenkins. • The offensive playbook should be rebuilt if AJ stays. • We need a RB and WR that put some fear in opposing defenses. A lot of offseason processes should be set in place now. The staff has to really hyperfocus on the three above issues.

I've exhausted my writing (and voting) on Kyle. I wish him luck, but my opinion has remained unchanged since my original evaluation last year at this time. He did nothing this year to change that. • Tra'Von needs to be coach Bowden's next Janoris Jenkins. • The offensive playbook should be rebuilt. • We need a RB and WR that put some fear in opposing defenses. A lot of offseason processes should be set in place now. The staff has to really hyperfocus on the three above issues.

Only the "we are going to confuse PSU by wearing white" post made me laugh more in this thread. Hard to believe nobody posted that the flashy gold helmets got us the win at Heinz field because the reflection of the sun got in the eyes of the defenders.

Thanks for the recommendation, we stopped there after 18 holes at Heritage Golf Club in Wake Forest. It was kinda on our way. Since the Zips game got moved, playing 18 and eating at the oyster bar was probably better than watching my school lose to it's crummy rival.

Game #12 Can't State (Friday Nov 28 @ 1pm)
Dr Z replied to ZachTheZip's topic in Akron Zips Football
"Nobody blows them out" -- coach Bowden on Ken+ "They have lost six games by 10 points or less, and defensively they are pretty strong. They are a good team with a bad record.'' -
I'm getting warmer then, Ken+ running backs coach used to be an assistant under Tressel.
