Their only hope?"Obi"!PS no line

This is the game I watched. The second half was nothing more than a glorified practice. Lots of different combinations and players looking for some PT. Diggs only played 19 minutes, most of them in the first half. I don't fault the players for struggling to keep their focus when it was obvious we could have blown these guys out by 50 if we had kept the pedal to the metal. I think Melo is slowly playing himself out of the rotation. Late in the second half, KD almost inserted Ricardo Hill into the lineup before he thought better of it. -
I'm guessing from the lack of comments most didn't watch. Kevin McFarland writes a review and gives the film an A minus. I would agree.
Due to the lack of comments here, I actually went searching on a Columbus forum for comments. If you dig through 95 percent of the typical honk comments (most of them didn't watch either, GP1 Columbus paranoia theory), there are a few good observations. Don't worry, I took a hot shower after.
If you missed, I would assume the film hits youtube in a couple of weeks like most of the 30 for 30 films.
Urban Myers gets into the story.
Clarett did the film because he like the way they told the story.
Difference between the way he and LBJ handled early life.

Anybody watch? Very well done IMO. Must see for those of us from the Valley.
I didn't know about Clarett's relationship with Hai Waknine (an Israeli mobster.)
General information on Ray Isaac and Mickey Monus when JT was at YSU (for those not familiar with the case).
I wish they would have covered in some detail how Clarett ended up going to Warren Harding. I know the story, but wanted to hear it from his mom, who was surprisingly good in the film.

From the fashion section of ZN, sounds like Tree has a new look for tomorrow's game.
Gone chop the fro off.

Wish I was making this stuff up...Winter Weather Advisor for tomorrows gameIs the Zips home basketball schedule more accurate at predicting snow storms than the farmers almanac? -
Plain Dealer Screening By Doug Lesmerises, Northeast Ohio Media Group
I asked Tressel before the screening if he thought the end result was a fair and accurate portrayal. He thought it was. He also said that didn't mean it was easy to watch.

What position do you see him playing at a D1 level?Kid at Akron Springfield Larry Boso Seen him play twice, Ravenna and Thank4giving game. Has no D1 offers but a few D2. -
I wonder if the NCAA would ever reduce some of his punishment?Major counterpoint in those two stories on the relative impact of the show-cause issue vs. the severity of Petrino's transgressions. -
Is James interested in the SEC?
The former Columbus State head coach might be the perfect fit for the Vols. While many do not know too much about the stipulations of hiring Tressel, they can be very easily explained. Tressel has a five-year show-cause. The penalty, however, is virtually nonexistent after the first five weeks of his head coaching tenure. During that time period, Tressel can not participate in practice, meetings or games. He also must submit a progress report to the NCAA every six months. Tressel must also miss the team's bowl game in his first season. He can still do everything else essential to being a head coach, such as recruit and hire his own staff.
Does Haslam know James? Hmmmm...
James won’t be the answer for replacing Tim Beckman at Illinois

My late Toledo tailgate additions:
Henry Weinhard's Redwood Flats Amber
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale
Magic Hat Encore
Little sumpin sumpin is already on the list (#110)...doh. I'm surprised more Magic Hat's didn't make the list. Not being an IPA fan, I don't recommend Encore. Redwood Flats Amber was a B- for me. Best of the bunch. Last minute cancellation made me available for the Toledo game, sorry for the weak list. All in all, very nice list. Great addition to the Lot 9 fun. We need to add something to the event next year. Not sure what, but we have time to think.

I wrote about it back in September...but really got no interest (other than JohnnyZip) Maybe now that the end of the year is near? I wonder what place Lynch comes in? I heard Herbstreit say something to the fact, "you have to write somebody down for number two, why not Lynch?" I think the guys on PTI echoed the same last week.Regardless of what you think of Mel Kiper, he has another MAC player listed in his top five draft picks - no surprise - Khalil Mack. That's good for the conference (plus Jordan Lynch getting an invite to the Heisman ceremony doesn't hurt). -
Found hereIs there a link from the Jimmy Kimmel show that you would be willing to share? -
“It’s a great plan for everybody, but I’ve had a vision since I got her that I’ve plowed straight ahead with,” KD said.

For the youngsters...In that game Jason Taylor earned National Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance when he posted 12 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, three stops for loss and tackled a punt returner in the end zone for a safety. It was right before we played VA Tech. It's a word for word quoteZN JT appreciation thread has a few members thoughts on the game.

Probably. You shouldn't have to read fine print to find something of substance in a marketing piece. Most people look for a headline containing important info, if there isn't any, they move on. If the headline read, "(Insert something exciting here) Headlines Impact 2o2o" then you might get attention. I read down to the bullet points before realizing this was a pretty general goal-oriented release. All of those bullet points pretty much go without saying. I have no problem with them releasing this, it's pretty much standard practice. Personally, I would have had something big to headline the release so it would make some kind of "splash" among the general public. This seems general enough that whatever they do between now and 2020, they can say it was part of the "plan." I could read into the fact that some things we have been hearing about for a while now aren't going so well since it didn't headline the release, but I'll pass today. So am I the only one reading all the fine print in this document?Your probably the guy that reads your ETF and MF prospectuses too, huh?

ESPN is showing a film Saturday night at 9 pm that might interest some.
Running back Maurice Clarett and head coach Jim Tressel were both essential centerpieces during the 2002 season — the new film “Youngstown Boys” focuses on how different the city of Youngstown was for both of them, and how their relationship would develop and continue to the present day.
Wonder if Willis McGahee will watch?

Thanks for the confirmation. Steve did mention more than a few times about the good ball movement.Combination. Zips were much more organized on offense than in the 1st three games. Very good ball movement, players moving without the ball. Good rotation, and of course hitting the open shots when they were there. CSU was also pretty bad on defense. -
Thanks for the review, I listened on the radio, so I had no idea what happened other than the Zips beating CSU handily. My biggest question was the Zips three ball, how were they getting open, were they creating, or was CSU playing lazy D.Could CSU rotate any slower in their zone? What game tape were they watching to give us so many wide-open 3's? -
No. Your QB should be your offensive player of the year. He is the leader of the offense. Here is to hoping that our QB (deserving) is the offensive player of the year next year.Am I the only one -
Zips-flavored game? The 2014 "post-Bowden Bowl" should make for a quality National Championship game. These are the most deserving teams. -
Especially if your an 8 year old Jets fan.The atmosphere at Browns tailgates is pretty family unfriendly no matter who you"re rooting for. -
Agreed. I really thought they were going to get beat by BSU because of it. Congratulations to BG....their defense was worse and had them playing from behind all night.PS The Zips beat the MAC champs for a half of a football game.

From Peter King's MMQB.
I know one team that, as of now, thinks it’s no sure thing Teddy Bridgewater will be the top quarterback on its board (and this is a team that could take a quarterback in the first round). Moreover, this team believes Central Florida’s Blake Bortles or Johnny Manziel could be the top quarterback on the board. That’s right. Blake Bortles. We don’t even know if Bortles, a redshirt junior, will return for his fifth season at UCF. He will reportedly make his decision after Central Florida’s Fiesta Bowl game against Baylor.
Two guesses have the Browns drafting him at #7.
