  1. Gravy. I didn't think they would win a tourney game at the beginning of the season. Next year I do! I want to see coaching that reflects it early in the schedule because we have the talent now.
  2. They used to pass out balloons to the students behind the hoops. I was "squeaking" the balloon during a key opponents foul shot. Ref stopped the game and come over to me and asked me to "stop it, or I'll have you removed"
  3. My point was that Q should not be taking his first shot of the game 12 minutes in. Being a starter, this is less likely to happen when we need offense like we did at the beginning of the game last night. He is instant offense when he is asked. I'm pretty sure nothing will stop him from starting next season. He took one "for the team" this season. PS I wrote "shot (first jumper)", not "sub". I would appreciate some not trying to change the meaning of my post with their word play.
  4. Q's first jumper was 12 minuets into the game, we were down by 10 (14-24).
  5. Given those choices, I'll select Walsh for now. But I'll wait until I see a few games next season to answer intelligently. Long off season, we'll see who progresses and who doesn't between now and then. My point was Q is too talented to be a role player. How many times were we down early this year? Continuing with the "hopes, dreams, doubts and fears" subject. My biggest hope is that Harney becomes the hardest worker on the off season. I think the payoff will be the greatest. Good luck to the team this off season. Next year is the year I had circled on my calendar as the year we can win a game in the NCAAs. It should also be the most entertaining team we have seen in a long time in the JAR.
  6. I hope Quincy isn't a 6th man next year, he should only be off the court to rest. One of the reasons we were so far behind last night is because Q was watching the beginning of the game from the bench. Tighten up the minutes altogether, get our best players on the floor more often.
  7. I'm glad they shot a three for the win at the end, and I'm glad it was Alex taking the shot. I can live with that.
  8. Game thread started here
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. Good idea, you wouldn't want to hear what happen to the Cowboys recently anyway. Honestly, I was interested in how KD's mood was. He handled it better than you or I would have.
  11. I've known other people that say the same thing. I don't understand it. My theory is, I don't watch any team more than the Zips, if I don't know when they are going to win or lose the majority of the time, then I am not a very smart sports fan. You don't even have to win the majority of the time when you are a 2.4:1 underdog and think they will win. I haven't watched one Wildcat game in my life, that's my issue. I like to know something about both teams.
  12. Here is the best advice anyone will ever give you if you honestly believe that...bet the money line. No stock, will give you a better return in a few hours. If you just hope that, you probably should not.
  13. I'm not advocating NBC Sports Talk, I'm just giving ZN an alternative that you may not know about. NBC SportsTalk airs weeknights at 6 p.m. EST and will focus on various topics throughout the week, with certain nights and times devoted to a single sport. NBC SportsTalk will take a look at the topics that are dominating the sports world and will enlist talent from all NBC Sports Group platforms. Thaler will be joined by commentators and reporters from NBC Sports. I watched it last night and enjoyed it, but it was only the second time I watched. 603 on Direct TV (I'm not even sure if Time Warner or Dish or other providers carry NBC Sports). Edit: Dish, FiOS, AT&T
  14. Enjoyed the interviews with Blake and Deji yesterday. Worth checking out. Should only take 12 minutes of your time with a DVR. FF until you see either Blake or Deji. You can FF past Dunn repeating multiple times "we tape on Sunday at 3:30, so we don't know who or where we play in the NIT." KD expressed his desire to play at home and on Wednesday, obviously we got neither.
  15. I considered the same, but I think the Wildcats may be more disappointed by not getting the NCAA bid. Emotions might be a "wash."
  16. Geez, hope I didn't piss you off yesterday when I predicted the money line to be +200 earlier in this thread, that is equivalent to about 5.5, so I was pretty close. No money line yet, but it should be out this afternoon. Looks like it should be +240. I love winning anything over 200 on a underdog money line. Very tempting....
  17. Those guys will be happy when they see the money line at +200 tomorrow, they should make a killing betting the Zips.
  18. It's only cheating if you get caught, I appreciate the effort. I've seen nba players get away with this defensive move before.
  19. Hot Seat Northwestern has never made the NCAA tournament. Northwestern basketball has been so historically bad that they have only appeared in the NIT tournament six times. After 12 seasons in Evanston Carmody has a record of 160-177 overall and an awful record of 58-126 in the Big Ten. PUT HIM OUT OF HIS MISERY ZIPS !!!
  20. Lottery tickets info
  21. Congrats! Now I know the Zips can win.
  22. If Zeke likes (respects) Greene, than so do I. Good luck to him in the future. I'll always remember him as the nice Ken+ player that lost three times to us in one year.
  23. Predict the score and why. Ohio is favored by one and a half.
  24. OU favored by 1.5 points
