  1. I'll use history since KD has been here to say "no"
  2. New this season is the Zips Ultimate Season Ticket, which at the cost of $60 includes a general admission season ticket, a season parking pass in the south campus deck on East Exchange Street, and a $30 concessions voucher (entire package is valued at $120).
  3. I have posted many times on here how I love listening to former Jets GM Pat Kirwan on Sirius NFL Radio. He always says something that I learn from on his show. I heard he wrote a book, so I ordered it a month ago anticipating reading it this past weekend on a mini vaca in South Beach. Any ZN football fan will be a more knowledgeable football fan for reading it. I loved it. He describes personnel, play calling, game planning, types of offenses, types of defenses, position strategies, player responsibilities.... Pat assumes you already know about football and want to learn more. For Browns fans there is a good description of QB play calling in the West Coast offense. Less than ten bucks, worth every penny PS I got to meet Ochocinco this weekend. Surprisingly nice guy.
  4. All teams lose players. It's the coaches job to be prepared. Is coach K not preparing this year for next years losses?
  5. Cosgrove coached 3 years with Rob at Wisky in the early 90's. Cosgrove is not short on experience, just success it seems.
  6. Butler interviewed and was offered the Dolphins defensive coordinator last year and turned it down. So "blocking" may not be the proper term. Mr Rooney paid Butler more money to stay. Butler is thought to be the eventual replacement for Mr LeBeau Article before the season.
  7. He who is offended when offence is not intended, is a fool; he who is offended when offence is intended, is a greater fool.
  8. Maybe he was offended that iCoach did not select/interview him for d-coordinator.
  9. I will need to spend one full training camp at Latrobe, like Kevin Greene did last August, then I'm ready. Don't forget our defensive line coach (Derrick Jackson) was co-defensive coordinator at Syracuse at one time. I'm not advocating the hire, just pointing out.
  10. I would like to see VanDelay redo this grading system for 2011 in 2015. You can put all the Mac teams on a dart board and throw at them and come up with a list that might be more accurate. People eat this stuff up, and it is as meaningless as anything. I hope I can remember to look this thread up in 4 years. Maybe we are in the middle, maybe we are last, maybe we are first.
  11. I would say Jennings, Starks and Zombo made significant contributions to help win a Super Bowl for GB. Congrats to them and they other Green Bay MAC players.
  12. Soccer commercial could have been done better (C-).
  13. Do you guys mind taking your YSU talk to a YSU forum. Thanks.
  14. Netzero in Trumbull County is super slow.
  15. "Nobody was left but Ken+" A remarkable 41 of the 106 players on the Super Bowl rosters played at schools from outside the six BCS leagues, including seven guys from either the old Division I-AA or D-II ranks. That’s a lot of great players who once slipped through the signing day cracks.
  16. I measured it. Very scientific. I will have more questions for the CK Meter™ throughout the year. PS Add a little Zips logo and trademark that thing asap!
  17. Source Not the best, but that's all I got. Can anybody confirm?
  18. I think our o-line and receivers will be better than last year (not a huge prediction, I know.) Whomever the QB is, will benefit. I still have PN7 penciled in until I see The Lone Ranger throw a ball in Akron.
  19. If we can get to the Q, Brett & Steve will be the ones we are going to have to have step up. Good or bad, that's the way it is, IMO.
  20. I agree. +2, I have posted this even when we were winning 20+ games. I have never understood coach K's offense. Bring it back baby!
  21. Right. It will be fun to look these posts up in two or three years to see what players are making an impact...and what posters had to say about them. Should be able to see some immediate impact with some of the JUCOs also. That might provide a quicker judgment. If the Lone Ranger comes in and triples our win total, can you say the class was a success after 11 months?
