  1. Lemmings top 100 Should we offer #89 Doran Grant of Akron, or is it a waste of time?
  2. While in part, I agree with GP1, the test may seem silly, but I have taken about 5 of these things and end up scoring the same on all. The test is consistent with the others, so there must be some sort of truth to it. I think GP1 took the test and is afraid to post the results.
  3. Economic Left/Right: -3.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.28 Just call me Gandhi from now on.
  4. I liked Akron's gold team model the best. Blue team was not a bad choice. I don't know all the details, I'm only going off of two photos. Gold Team Blue Team (winner) The winning team members, Brian McGannon, Brett Klinger, Donna Orellana and Mark Andrasik, each will receive $5,000 to apply toward their tuition. Good move by the university. I wish they would handle some marketing in the football department like this in the graphic design program.
  5. Here's the full story, from a real credible source.
  6. They should know. Between working at Hooters during the lunch rush and The Doll House from 7-1, those girls make a ton of money. There were 6 customers and 7 girls working at 12:30 to 1:45 pm on April 12th. I left a decent tip, but if they have to split that, it ain't goin' too far.
  7. Individual season tickets to all eight regular season home games are only $49 and will be limited to the first 100 applications!?!?!?!
  8. The one thing that Ken+ has going for them, is Spencer Keith, I was impressed with the freshman at the one game (Akron) that I saw him. It would not shock me if they did well in the MAC. I hope our secondary is ready for him this year. As for Akron, I'll stick with my prediction that I posted in the Expectations thread.
  9. I don't think there is a set time when they come out. Soon? Check here occasionally Other competitors don't have all their times either, OSU, PSU, UK.
  10. "Get attention? Get attention? What do you mean?"
  11. Good luck to Steve. My Aunt went to University of California PA, turned out well for her, she married a HOF NFL'er. Don't be afraid to stop back and update us later.
  12. Maybe he was factoring in the "home pass interference calls"
  13. I like the fact that DIG posted that "he knew that he was going to have to work hard on his strength to make the jump from HS ball to college" Sounds like he wants to work hard at his game. IMO, we need more of that on our team. If he is what you say he is defensively, Zeke will benefit from him as well.
  14. DIG attends more basketball games than I do, I would rather read his opinion about the team, that's what ZN is about. I can look up any stat I want on the internet, anybody can. It seems to me that DIG thinks he needs to "verify" everything with a number, like when your writing a history paper. I don't need/want that. That's all. I enjoy reading these kind of posts from DIG. Statistics can be as much of an art as a science. "There are three kind of lies, lies, damn lies and statistics" Less progress? Excellent question. Could be a thread by itself (hmmmm...). I like him when we win, and question him when we lose. I wish we could beat an opponent that was equal or better than us. My favorite thing about him is his post game interviews (seems genuine). My least favorite thing about him is his offense. It often comes off as unentertaining, confusing and boring to me. I don't think I can give you a yes or no answer, how about if I say on a scale of one to ten, I'll give him a six. If it were a grade, I would say C+ to B-. Is our program better since he got here and Hipshire left? Eh. I wish a BJ reporter would ask him to grade himself one time, I would like to hear his answer. My answer would significantly change if he was somehow instrumental in the development of the new LBJ Arena.
  15. Thanks for stopping in, taking the time to make an account and offering your opinion.
  16. From a purely aesthetic point of view, I like the movement of Miami's design given the three choices.
  17. Your link says 'page not found' Here is another.
  18. I have to think that somebody that has watched Zips basketball for 30 years can form some kind of opinion without reverting to irrelevant stats all the time. Seriously, your trying to prove something about the Zips basketball program by comparing numbers with Villanova's basketball program!?!? Apples and oranges once again. Trust your eyes more. You would have to have the exact same games with the same players and play a shorter rotation to see the results. That ain't happening. Without any "stats", what would indicate a change in use of KD's typical deep rotation next year? I'm guessing he continues to rotate the exact same way he has since he got here. I'm hoping for different, but expecting nothing but the same because I've heard him explain why he does it.
  19. How would anybody ever know that since it hasn't happened? Unless we go back and replay the season with a shorter bench, there is nothing to give a fair comparison. What if Jimmy was one of the guys in a short rotation and he got to see more pt earlier in his career, would we have to wait 5 years to see him finally reach his potential, or would he have reached his potential earlier? We'll never know. One thing I'm pretty sure of, right or wrong, not much is going to change with our rotations....unless four more kids transfer out.
  20. You know Dambrot is still coaching next year right?
  21. ...and one of those teams they lost to was TOLEDO!! Looks like he had a PG that could penetrate and dish in that game.
  22. Statement from Lemon (cut & paste from Rasor's Blog)
  23. It would be very cool if we can have the scoreboard broadcast someone reading through and commenting on the scores. Maybe have a media student or invite guest local personalities to do the read. I'm all for that. A nice thing about Infocision is the WIFI, I can bring my ipod and actually follow other games.
  24. Good question. Maybe somebody can find some examples of four kids transferring in one year by the coach that recruited them. Then we would have a better idea of how common it is. I'd still love to read an exit interview by the Beacon with Humpty. If you would like to do an interview with ZN, PM me Humpty.
