  1. Not as good as the Boca Raton destination for me, but I would make St Pete work. If it's the Bahamas bowl, I'll be steaming it from the beach in Miami.
  2. I was watching a recording of Sports Zone last night and Bernie Kosar gave a shout out congratulating coach Bowden. I thought it was cool that he was aware of the Zips achievements this season.
  3. Thanks for the kind words. More photos here, including some locker room stuff from go zips dot com.
  4. Asked what bowl game he wanted to play in, Grice said, "I ain't going to lie. I would love to go to the Bahamas." source For those of you considering the trip, here is some info on the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.
  5. Zips fans know their football when the wagon wheel and a bowl game are on the line. Congratulations to Blue & Gold, UAZippers, MDZip, LZip, UA1987, pdt1420, ZipGrad01, RowdyZip and liberty61. All winners!

  9. Weather dot com now reads:
  10. Blue Jackets getting recognized for their game day posters. One of the coolest developments of the current hockey season has been a new initiative by the Columbus Blue Jackets, who've been promoting their home games with a series of sensational game-day posters. Not on the same talent level as Cleveland artist Derek Hess, but Anthony's work (concept) reminds me a little of it.
  11. Currently weather dot com is reading "Cloudy with occasional rain in the afternoon"
  12. I don't think anyone would categorize last night as a good loss. Being back in Ohio for a week will recharge the batteries.
  13. Defense. They scored twice on interception returns.
  14. I would guess travel has as much, if not more, to do with fatigue.
  15. Coach Stroud is the recruiting coordinator and can be emailed at stroud@uakron.edu. If I had to guess, pad level is probably the answer to your first question.
  16. EA of the PD writes, Injuries Mount as Zips Keep Traveling. When will Noah be ready? "Who knows,'' Dambrot said. "He'll play when he's ready to play.'' What about Pat? "We've had X-rays, but we still don't know if he's got a broken rib or not,'' Dambrot said. "But he is still in pain." How about Jimond? "He's not quite ready yet, but he still may play, although I doubt it,'' Dambrot said of Ivey. All this, and the Zips are still favored by four. Game is on ESPN3 at 8 pm. Free stream found at go zips dot com. Congratulations to Antino, MAC East Player of the Week!
  17. Winners announced Saturday morning. Congratulations to last weeks winners, zippyfan34, and CK.
  18. Yes, Three for Thursday will have a special Wednesday appearance due to the early game. Stay tuned...
  19. Marla Ridenour article in the ABJ from March 7, 2013 entitled 'Zips freshman Jake Kretzer dealing with rapid heart rate scare' Get well Jake.
  20. The Senior Class will be honored during a pregame ceremony. Former Zips' QB Charlie Frye (2001-04) will be inducted into the Ring of Honor. I hope the forecast changes. Is playing in the rain becoming an advantage for the Zips because of experience? Maybe we can play in the Rain-X Bowl.
  21. Congratulations to zippyfan34, and CK!!! You reached your goal with two games to spare zippyfan34. PS If I remember correct, the bonus question was 7:22 left in the first quarter.
  22. I'm hoping your prediction is right on. Nice job.
  23. The Bulls played a lot of cover one in the first half. Give credit where credit is due. AJ and TW13 (receivers/o-line) beat a defense that was trying to stop our run game with (vertical passing attack) good play calling and execution. The second half, the Bulls adjusted their defense, and the Zips started to have success running the ball. Good game plan, good execution. The offense took what the defense was giving. Nice to see the offense take the pressure off the defense. With the maturity of TW13, the offense has evolved into a passing team that sets up our running game. Fun time to be a Zip fan. “I think Tommy’s ability to hit our explosive plays … that’s where we’re trying to evolve to,” -- Terry Bowden source Edit: Sorry Jrship, I just went back and read this. I guess we had the same evaluation.
