Whats with all the negative threads akronzips71? Do you have no faith in this team? First a thread about coasting the last few games, now a thread about if we want to lose on Sun on ESPN so we can clinch on our home court?
Tree was filling ill. But an hour and a half before the game he put on a nice dunking clinic. I'm amazed they could still use that rim after he and Harney got done abusing it. Nice windmills and under the leg dunks.
Speaking of Miss St. Akron is now ranked ahead of them by 1 spot.
Couple of notes:
ORU just won the regular season title for the summit league.
Morrison needs 6 points to hit the career 2000 mark. Thats crazy.
Zeke needs 3 blocks to move into the top 5 all time in the MAC.
2 more wins till we get #500.
NIU- 328
Toledo- 269
CMU- 265
Ball- 234
EMU- 213
WMU- 184
These are our last 6 wins...all games that a loss would have been detrimental to our RPI, but a win doesn't really make it go up significantly. We need to get rid of the west. Beating Miami probably won't make it go back up that much with an RPI of 244. Thank goodness for ORU coming up.
2/11/12 (per CBS RPI) Opponent's RPI who Akron lost to:
Valparaiso- 85
Duquesne- 80
WVU- 34
MTSU- 42
CSU- 68
VCU- 90
Buffalo- 86
Whoever thought that at this point our worst lost would be to VCU?
A few key stats. Akron out rebounded EMU 41-25 including 17-9 in offensive boards. We only committed 11 fouls the entire game. When was the last time that happened? Attendance was great at 4,234 for playing a very bad D1 team.
Here is a copy of all D1 teams official team page that the committee will look at. DiG now has countless hours of fun ahead of him.

per a Missouri St twitter:
MO State Bear Nation @TheBearNation
"Word floating around that it will be the #MSUBears vs Akron for the Bracketbuster. It will be on tv. #MVCHoops"
Andy Katz is guessing Loyola which would be a complete slap in the face since Akron is about the 4th highest road team and Lowola is about the 10th highest home team with an RPI about 30 lower than ours.
