  1. Here is a copy of all D1 teams official team page that the committee will look at. DiG now has countless hours of fun ahead of him. http://www.ncaa.org/wps/wcm/connect/public...mbb+team+sheets
  2. per a Missouri St twitter: MO State Bear Nation @TheBearNation "Word floating around that it will be the #MSUBears vs Akron for the Bracketbuster. It will be on tv. #MVCHoops"
  3. Andy Katz is guessing Loyola which would be a complete slap in the face since Akron is about the 4th highest road team and Lowola is about the 10th highest home team with an RPI about 30 lower than ours. http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballn...busters-tonight
  4. Where did you get this?
  5. Thats because it gives Steve and Joe a break.
  6. I was unaware about playing Marshall and MTSU again next year, will these be at the JAR? We have CSU for another 2 years at least. I'm excited about the Puerto Rico Tip-Off if thats what it is. There are always some good teams down there. I think we need to play a few teams who will be ranked in the 10-25 area so we have a solid chance at a good upset. I like all of the A-10 MVC, MWC ideas because they are teams who we should be able to schedule home games with. I would like to see us schedule Missouri St since their coach said that he wanted us for the Bracketbuster this year. I think if we are going to schedule teams with bad RPI like FAMU (RPI 344) or NCAT (RPI 258) we should schedule schools with a bad RPI that are name schools. Penn St (156), Auburn (151), South Carolina (164), Clemson (140), Wake Forest (157), or St Johns (171). Wins over these teams would still have the same effect on our RPI, but to the average fan would seem like really good wins.
  7. FYI Northern Iowa is playing Missouri St on ESPNU right now. They are the team directly in front of us in highest RPI out of road teams. A loss should move the Zips up a spot in the hierarchy of best road teams.
  8. This just proves ratings are meaningless.
  9. Northern Iowa has now lost 4 of their last 6. ESPN likes hot teams for the bracketbuster and Northern Iowa is most definitely not.
  10. It was one of the ast coaches ideas. I forget which one though.
  11. So its not a rule. The reason it probably has not happened in the past is that it is just extremely unlikely that two teams have matched up perfectly in the RPI two years in a row. Just because it hasn't happened in the past doesn't rule out the possibility.
  12. Where do you see this policy?
  13. I think we can agree we want either Creighton or Murry. Although we have a bigger chance of getting Creighton then Murry. I disagree with wanting all of those teams to lose. Wichita and Northern Iowa losing does not affect our chance of playing Creighton. Home Teams Conf Creighton MVC Murry OVC Oral Roberts SUM Davidson SC Iona MAAC Road Teams Conf St Marys WCC Wichita St MVC Long Beach St BW Northern Iowa MVC Akron MAC Of the top 5 teams, Creighton can not be paired up with Wichita S t or Norther Iowa. This leaves St Marys, Long Beach and Akron. So really We just want St Marys to lose to Loyla or BYU and Long Beach to lose to UC Riverside or Cal St Fullerton. Hopefully they put Murry up against St Marys to try and get them to play a game against top competition to see if they will lose, which would leave Creighton to us.
  14. The Harney Badger didn't feel like making an impact tonight, so the Harney Badger didn't.
  15. No problem. They also have a great page that they update daily that has the bracketbuster participants sectioned off by Home and Away and shows you who the most probable opponent will be. Akron is 5th highest in away teams.
  16. Up to the minute RPI forecaster: http://www.rpiforecast.com/live-rpi.html
  17. Great 2nd half. Zips should have been up by 15 by half time. Once you clamp down on Jarred Jones they have no one. Once Ball State clamps down on an Akron player we sub them out and put someone better in. This was probably out best free throw shooting game shooting 15-18 (83%). Granted Brian Walsh went 8-8 from the line. This win moves the Zips up to number 57 in the RPI.
  18. In house visit mentioned above. https://p.twimg.com/AjZ2pRzCQAEnkgY.jpg
  19. Or posted it in the Buchtelite midseason.
  20. Btw this is hanging in Bowden's office. He loves it.
  21. Did anyone notice during the OU game when there was a wild pass to Abreu that he threw off of John Groce's back? Even Groce didn't fall down and he was crying the entire game. Marshal's coach is just pathetic.
  22. Valpo is 12-7 and have beat 3 MAC teams. Duquesne is 11-7 and don't have a bad loss that stands out. WVU is 13-5 worst loss is to Can't MTU is 17-2 and have thumped everyone they have played including UCLA by 20. CSU is 15-4 worst loss is to YSU VCU is 13-5 who we are all familiar with. Comined record of our opponents who have beaten us is 81-30. So who does ESPN consider as our bad loss? I have to go with Valpo.
  23. BTW Valpo is 12-7 and Duquesne is 11-7 with no bad losses.
  24. Per ESPN under More Teams that Impressed Us: Akron only has one true bad loss. http://espn.go.com/ncb/notebook/_/page/not...atch1206/week-6
