  1. Second video regarding the handball doesn't look like one. Looks like the defender turned with his arms down and the ball hit is upper arm, if anything. Definitely would like to see this "offsides" though.
  2. Thanks for the link! Definitely going to look into getting one!
  3. Porter isnt going anywhere anytime soon. End of story.
  4. Even though my distaste for OSU has grown over the last 2 years, I have to agree with you, Buckzip. First off, Gordon needs to stfu and not make stupid comments like these. All he's done with those statements is give more fuel to the haters, naysayers, and everyone on the "OSU is overrated" bandwagon. Whether or not they are right is irrelevant; what is relevant is that both TCU and Boise would probably run circles around OSU. They are DAMN good teams and they are fully deserving of their ranking.
  5. +1 This is pretty much THE issue here. UA Athletics does a horrible job promoting the teams (soccer included) to get students to come out. Wow... pizza and pop... big whoop. EVERY time they attempt that pathetic marketing ploy, 1 of 2 things happens: 1) students show up, do nothing, wait till they get their free "stuff" and leave, or 2) they don't show up because honestly... pizza and pop are the 2 most lame things to "give away". Let's not forget that these are STUDENTS here. They aren't paying thousands every semester to go to every athletic event. A lot of them have classes, homework, or hell... even JOBS that get in the way of these stupid weekday games. I for one couldn't make the game because I was slammed with homework due the next day. Students will never come out in large numbers for weekday games. Never will happen. Play on Saturdays and they'll come in larger numbers. But to sit there and say that there should be hundreds upon thousands of students at a Wednesday 6pm game is absolutely absurd. Want to fix the attendance problem? WIN GAMES. End of discussion. You all can wallow on about ticket prices and stupid details like that, but none of them are long-term solutions. To put butts in the seats, win games, win the conference, play in bowl games, get national exposure. Also, let's be realistic here... any MAC team has about no chance at regularly selling out for all their home games. I would be plenty happy to see ~20k for every game.
  6. Cant account for the first mistake, but when Meves kicked it over to the sideline, it was a duffed kick. His foot happened to hit the ground before hitting the ball and caused him to duff it to the right. I wouldn't pin that one on him as heavily as you may... mistakes like that happen to everyone. I sometimes think we're being overly critical here. I am certain WVU turned up the offensive pressure, and with our 3-0 lead, the guys got a little lax. A win is a win; doesn't matter if you win by 1 or 5. The guys will be prepared for next Sunday, there's no doubting that.
  7. they havent even finished excavating all the debris from tearing down memorial. I wouldnt expect construction of any new building to start till spring. Thats assuming that construction will start immediately following the completion of demolition.
  8. truthfully, Im having a hard time agreeing with that statement
  9. I want to say I heard that exact same quote about last year's team...
  10. Click here to directly access the PDF
  11. projections are out and theyre saying well be in a bracket with Penn State, Virginia, and WF... for what thats worth. 3 more hours till selection time.
  12. They may have been blowing any plugs off the field from when they aerated. Those can get stuck in the cleats and cause players to slip.
  13. That's funny its funny cuz its true
  14. According to our website and ESPN, no. (ESPN doesnt list exhibition games)
  15. Start of the 3rd... we get a kickoff return to the 50. We move the ball down to the BSU 10. 1st and goal to go, Nicely throws an INT at the goal line. Awesome. I think Ill just go back to the ESPN score notifications on my phone than watch the game.
  16. Whoever is doing the recording and/or editing of these videos needs to learn to, at the very least, duplicate the audio track on BOTH the left and right channels instead of just the left. Its really annoying to only have audio out of the left channel. Hell, let me know when they're editing these videos and Ill come in and duplicate it myself. Its not that hard... Then again if theyd record the audio in stereo, there wouldnt even be an issue.
  17. Unfortunately, I feel the same way. Everyone touted him as this recruiting god, so I want to see what he can do to improve us for next year. I just hope for everyone's sanity that we win 1 or 2 this year. We really need to. Unfortunately I have yet to see anything this season to indicate that we will. I know its really early, but iCoach will need to produce a damn good recruiting class and put up at least a 4 or 5 win season if he wants any chance of winning back most of us. He's got a VERY steep uphill battle ahead of him and he will need to bring out all the stops if he wants a chance at saving this program. I do know what he'll be telling every recruit this winter: play for us and you'll have a damn good shot at playing as a freshman
  18. That's what I was thinking. Who needs any seats? The team can play inside the Rubber Bowl while the fans stay outside and tailgate. you can do that at the Info... but I will concede that the RB had a MUCH better tailgate atmosphere.
  19. If I'm directing my comments at the same thing as K-Roo, and I think I am, it's a direct hit at their inability to draw attendance....whether they're bad or average. did the math and they need to average a tad over 11k for their final 3 games to reach that 90k mark.
  20. They appeared to also be running over the cores with a lawn mower. Im sure over the next week they'll be doing the same thing. Next home game won't be till the MAC tourney, so they have time to get things ready.
  21. Saw two things today while getting lunch in the union: 1) grounds was aerating the soccer field. While the field looks good for this time of the year, obviously they're trying to get it as dry as possible and keep it that way with the craptastic weather that is bound to come soon. 2) The guys were having practice next door to the Jack. Porter really looked like he was working them hard. I think they stopped maybe 3 times in the hour I was at the union, and the last one was because of an injury. I was too far away to tell who it was, but it looked like they sprained their ankle.
  22. Interesting quote from the comments of the story I linked to earlier...
