Let's start the war of words.Come on guys let'snot be stupid. It's great to be excited and looking forward to this, but I think we are a year early for thinking we can beat Gonzaga. We can talk about their schedule all we want. But look at ours...Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but this is one step at a time. We do the same thing with football.personally, IDGAF about next year. Next year isnt for another 9 months. All I care about is RIGHT NOW, and that means beating Gonzaga. The more noise we make this year will translate into that much more noise next year. Let's go beat Gonzaga and show the nation that Akron is more than just a 1-time deal. We won the MAC in the year when nobody expected us to do much, so lets make the most of it.

I am so ecstatic that we won the MAC this year, it's beyond words. I am so proud of these guys. They have grown SO well as a team over this season and it scares me to think of the potential we will have in the coming years.

Honestly though, Id rather him sit today and rest for tomorrow (or today, technically). We are probably going to need him tomorrow to get past the bulls...

I have two favorite teams, Akron and whoever plays Can't.very true. I guess denying can't another 20 win season and a shot at the conference championship is much more satisfying than playing buffalo

Exactly. Not only that, kids now have to constantly be aware where every inch of their body is in fear of being called for a foul. Its as if just touching an opponent warrants a foul. Let the kids just play the game and only call a foul where absolutely necessary. It'll make everyone happier.

Its not just in the tourney, but all year. Refs have been horrible all season, calling fouls so often a basketball game approaches football in terms of how long the game took. I agree that the game wasn't overly physical and warranted those fouls. The refs just kept calling fouls. Its getting to the point where any momentum that a team gets through a steal/blocked shot/etc. gets negated by some stupid foul. They are just taking the wind out of the teams.

well.. the way the bracket is set up, the possibility of a Can't/Akron finals is a real one. Im not looking ahead and overlooking our next game against the sloths of MU, just saying. If Can't can beat Canada tomorrow, they'd have a fairly easy ride to the tourney finals. As for us... it'll be pretty difficult.
