  1. Would be awesome if Akron would change the Florida State game to 7:00pm so the majority of people can watch a nationally ranked team in the JAR..But for those that don't work on saturdays, you can go to the Akron-FSU game, and then head to CSU for game that night ...
  2. As Gonzaga is up by 20 in Tip-Off Marathon, here's the games on slate for today: Can't State at West Virginia, 10:00am on ESPN Middle Tennessee at UCLA, 11:00pm Rio Grande at Cleveland State, 7:00pm Notre Dame College at Youngstown State, 7:05pm on ESPN3
  3. I'm not sure...but isn't there a billboard right off of Route 8 southbound by the Carroll Street exit ramp? We should have an arrow pointing towards stadium saying: "Home of the worst head college football coach in DI-A history. LOSING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! FIRE ROB IANELLO!"
  4. I guess anyone can choose to interpret this number any way they want. But, it definitively answers the question for me regarding whether our soccer attendance is due to the Zips having a nationally-successful sport, as opposed to NE Ohio being filled with soccer fanatics who are just thirsting for the opportunity to see a good soccer game. And by contrast, the last MAC football title game drew over 12,000, at a neutral site, with two teams that were also a very long way from home. I think it was two reasons: 1) People were still shocked, sore, depressed, etc. about Friday. I'm a huge soccer fan no matter who is playing, but even I had a hard time walking past the Pouch yesterday without being depressed that two schools were playing for a MAC title on our field and one of them wasn't us... 2) It was a sunday and we all know how people feel about the NFL...
  5. We're back at #1...
  6. Today's games: Buffalo at Duquesne, 7:00pm Virginia at Providence, 7:00pm Northern Iowa at Chicago State, 8:00pm

  8. headline on NCAA.com men's soccer home page... "The NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Selection Show will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET on Monday. Tune in to find out which teams make the field and the path that No. 6 Akron must trek in order to defend its crown."
  9. Here's another thought....They had 46 turnovers and only loss to the #2 team in the nation by 20 points at their place...impressive...especially since the majority of those points for Notre Dame were off of Akron turnovers...
  10. non-conference Akron opponents that have games on Monday(11/14) Holy Cross at Valparaiso, 8:05pm Detroit at Notre Dame, 9:00pm on ESPNU Stetson at Florida A&M, 7:00pm
  11. Today's finals... Georgia 63, Bowling Green 54 #16 Arizona 73, Ball State 63 Ohio 74, Tennessee-Martin 65
  12. Duquesne 84, Green Bay 66 Middle Tennessee 58, Loyola Marymount 51 Cleveland State 71, #7 Vanderbilt 58 Marshall 58, Jacksonville State 44
  13. I would love to go, and would go, but I have a prior commitment(a daily commitment from end of October until end of February) from 3-5pm that day and the bus will leave the JAR at 1:00pm...impossible for me to go...
  14. We don't deserve to be a "bubble" team we are worse a solid at large pick. I'm aware of that...just trying to comfort some of the fans that are panicking...
  15. Virginia was TERRIBLE last year, but they still got in and I think they still got a first round home game. NCAA tries everything they can to make sure that if the defending national champs are "On the Bubble", that they get in...They did that with Virginia, and I feel we may be surprised how well the NCAA likes us come tomorrow night...
  16. Cleveland State leads #7 Vanderbilt 37-24 at the half on ESPNU...
  17. 11:28 left in first half, and Cleveland State is up 16-10 on #7 Vanderbilt...
  18. Three games on slate today: Tennessee-Martin at Ohio, 2:00pm Ball State at #16 Arizona, 6:00pm Bowling Green at Georgia, 6:00pm ON ESPNU
  19. Here's how the MAC has done so far in non-conference play: Nov. 9th, 2011 Akron 68, Mississippi State 58 Nov. 11th, 2011 Bowling Green 63, Howard 48 Buffalo 72, St. Peter's 65 Eastern Michigan 68, Illinois-Chicago 57 Purdue 96, Northern Illinois 34 Nov. 12th, 2011 Akron 95, Hiram 65 South Dakota State 82, Western Michigan 76 Central Michigan 65, Ferris State 60
  20. Games on slate today: Duquesne vs Green Bay, 1:00pm Middle Tennessee at Loyola Marymount, 6:00pm Cleveland State at #7 Vanderbilt, 2:00pm Marshall vs Jacksonville State, 4:00pm Loyola-Marymount defeated #20 UCLA to open season. Hopefully Middle Tennessee can beat them today. Duquesne will hopefully get their first win today, Marshall should go to 2-0 today, and Cleveland State has a large task ahead of them today in Nashville.
  21. It was a joke In the last couple minutes of the game last night, Harney was bringing the ball up the court...that's why I mentioned it...my friends and I got a good laugh when this happened last night...
  22. Brian Walsh is the back up point guard. Who would play the point? Granted, Walsh has a hot hand at shooting early on. And, I, for one, believe he will continue to score prodigiously. The current rotation is just fine. More difficult at this point is where is Chauncey Gilliam? He is a no show with a ton of skills and talent. p.s. Deji Ibitayo is NOT going to be playing this season. He and Blake Justice will be red shirted barring any unforeseen injuries, etc. Nick Harney
  23. The scandal is him being our head football coach...WE ARE THE VICTIMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF HIM...You know something isn't right if our players aren't even motivated to play this game...At least Brookhart knew how to play the big schools and Can't State...this "___________" doesn't even know how to beat a DI-AA SCHOOL!!!!!!!! IF Ianello isn't fired by the end of this season, I'm going to start chanting for Tom's departure as well....ENOUGH ALREADY...Can't's only going to get better, and we're only going to get worse... Just wish there was a way that Ianello can be part of a scandal that actually violates ethics or NCAA regulations... ... ... ...
  24. Notre Dame's speed was just too much...46 turnovers and only loss by 20...i consider that a win lol...
  25. shhhh....you just gave it away lol..I was going to post the week of WVU game that Zeke is questionable to play due to re-injuring the injury he had during the Mississippi State game....oh well lol (My apologies to GameChngr44 for joking about Zeke's health)
