My beer selections for tailgate #1 had a definite Indiana theme going. Here are my suggestions if you are travelling west: Good and nutty. I am not very familiar with this style. Although tasty in the bottle, much better on tap. I am usually not a fan of wheat beer, but this isn't your normal wheat. Another one that was much better on tap. Usually amber ales are pretty sticky sweet but this one has a nice hop wallop. Both of these Barley Islands were solid. Looking forward to trying more of their stuff.

Yuengling will never compare to good craft beer, but it blows away anything BMC makes, IMO.

FIU lost to Duke by 4 last year and by 20 this year. I think they have regressed and the Zips will pull off the upset victory!

1. Coach Bowden was great. He is a pro in front of the camera and enjoyable to watch. 2. I think there were more highlights in the game one montage than there were for the entire 2011 season. 3. I like the "rising stock" idea. 4. Can we get a sign with "Football with Terry Bowden" centered? Seriously?

By the looks of the box score, FIU moved the ball pretty well but couldn't punch it in and missed 3 field goals. I wish it would have been on TV. It had to have been more fun to watch than Alabama-Michigan.

I don't want to read too much into this, because I didn't watch the game, only saw the scoring updates but... Over the years, I don't think many REALLY good teams lost to Duke by 20. I guess we shall learn more next Saturday night. Go Zips!
