What do y'all think when LeBron refers to UA as Akron U when he's giving some of that publicity? Just curious.

That's a cool hat too, but the one I saw today was blue with just the old logo on front and new on back. I am going to have to make a trip to Summit Mall and see if they have any more.

While checking out at the grocery store today, I noticed a man in the lane next to mine was wearing the coolest Zips hat. It was a fitted cap with the old varsity A embroidered on the front with the current Roo A on the back. He said he got it at the hat store in Summit Mall. Awesome hat.

You aren't going to catch me arguing on behalf of the ACC. When they split the conference in two they had sugar plum visions of an annual high powered FSU/Miami ACC Championship game to give the new look league some real credibility. Hasn't happened.

Still waiting to see a synopsis and commentary from JZ84! I haven't heard any mention of Nico Caponi or Nick Rossi. I thought these were two guys who could possibly step up and make an impact. Disappointing.

That's why it's puzzling. The Big East is a basketball conference that has football BCS AQ status (deserved or not) that they desperately do not want to lose, so they invite Memphis? How does that help with their football concerns?

Memphis football has been pretty bad over the years. Southern Miss and East Carolina have been pretty good. Makes the Big East's thought process puzzling.

Thank you for the information, guys. I was really angry at first when I discovered I was missing the game for a wedding, but after I threw my tantrum I calmed down. I was chomping at the bit during the ceremony to look at my phone to see if I could find out what was happening, but resisted the temptation. At the reception everybody was asking me what was so important on my phone.

Yes, when we were loading up to leave for the wedding we got soaked. Around 2:45, probably. Like you said, everything looks good now, though. We are going to enjoy this last night of our vacation!

Yeah, you're right about my Falcons, but it was still a bummer. There are so many Keeners in Ashland/Wayne/Holmes counties and I know a small fraction that are for sure relatives. There are a lot of distant cousins around now since back in de olden days ven de Keeners ver jus de poor dirt farmers, dey needed lots of de childrens to help viz de chores.

Expanded playoffs suits me fine. My second favorite football team next to the Zips, the Hillsdale Falcons missed the division V playoffs after a nice 9-1 season. Their only blemish was a week 10 heartbreaker to the eventual division IV state champion Norwayne Bobcats. In my biased opinion, we should have made the tournament, especially when you consider the Smithville Smithies, a team vanquished by the Falcons 34-21, did. Not that it bothers me or anything.

I would love to try the Cherry Stout. I have enjoyed all the Bell's beers I have tried so far. Where did you find the Cherry Stout? I haven't seen that one anywhere. I haven't had 120 minute IPA, but there's nothing like a 36 proof brew to warm you up. Has anyone been to Lizardville, the Winking Lizard Whiskey Bar and beer store? Just wondered if it was worth the trip.
