Two video updates into the spring practices and no one has uttered the word "spirited". I like the picture on gozips.com. TB has the boys' attention!

I did not realize the Bearcats garnered that much respect with Joe Cincinnati. Or would that be Hans Zinzinnati? I guess I figured that a recently very successful BCS conference team in a metropolitan area that struggles to sell out a 35,000 seat stadium might be under the spell of the cult of the Buckeyes. Good for them.

I don't really know from first hand experience how Cincinnatans (is that a word?) feel about the Buckeyes, but if Mr. Daugherty is correct in describing their disdain for OSU, the city should be commended. My first inclination would be to call bullshit. I bet there are a lot of OSU honks in Cincinnati.

Numbers look better, but 6 tight ends might be a little overkill for a spread offense. Wouldn't it be awesome if Phil Ferguson turned out to be a pleasant surprise at WR? I would be interested to know how that came about...was he "recruited" by the staff or did he decide to walk-on of his own accord?

Thanks for posting the video, Zach. I can't imagine anyone who loves the Zips watching that interview without a grin on their face. It's a shame your head coach's personality and charm can't win games...we would be pre-season favorites to win the MAC.

What about the apocalypse scheduled for December? You worried about that?

It was a fun season to watch. Went to 5 games this year after being absent since I was a student. There were some heartbreaking losses and a certain amount of missed opportunities, but some real high spots as well. Looking forward to watching the team next year and I sure do hope to see some of you in lot 9 this fall also!

Sometimes people like to accentuate the positive after a tough loss. If you have a problem with the effort put out by Tree and Q, well, I don't know what to tell you. You make some good observations about the game, for sure but I just wanted to light a candle. The elephant in the room is Zeke Marshall. I would say that most of us like Zeke and believe he us a good person. His mother frequents the board and everybody basically enjoys her being around as well, so it might make it a little hard to "keep it real" on the board. I know it gives me pause and I know I am not the only one. That being said, Zeke really needs to do some soul searching and decide to make a huge change in mindset. He looks miserable on the court and his facial expressions and body language are a negative for the Zips and their fans and a psychological advantage for our opponents. Zeke Marshall should literally be a man among boys when he is on the floor and so far, we have seen only him "take the game over" on a very few occasions. I want to see him succeed and reach his potential because he has really only scratched scratched the surface of what he can do. If Zeke had the tenacity of Demetrius Treadwell, he would make the highlight reel on Sportscenter after every game.

+1 Hell of an effort by the Zips. Diggs, Abreu and Treadwell especially laid it out tonight. As always, there were some janky calls by the refs but they went both ways. Love ya, Zips!
