I thought Nicely looked good at BG as well, even though the Zips lost. At that point I thought the future looked bright for the QB situation. I had heard the knock on Nicely with the RI staff was his lack of leadership and that by the end of 2010, PN7 had lost the team's support. I don't know how true that is, but it did seem like the offense put out a better effort with LR8 at the controls, at least through the CMU game.
Like I say, I don't know any more about the "bad attitude" than what I learned in a one time conversation with the father of a player during halftime of the Ohio game. I always wondered, if true, if the alleged attitude problem coincided with the Ianello regime coming in. At any rate, it is a shame to see a kid never reach his potential, even though it happens a lot.
