    It's tough to imagine that there is much of a market (beyond a hundred...maybe a few hundred tops for something like football or basketball) for nearly any streamed MAC sport. More than anything, online streaming is a recruiting tool-- so that parents can watch their kids.

    I still feel that anything short of an NCAA tourney win will be a disappointment... a loss here or there in the MAC reg season is inconsequential to my feelings on this team. But regardless of the their post season success or failures this year, I plan on taking a break next year and giving up my season tickets.

    So there are 1200 tickets available to students... they can buy them for $10, or take their chances on whats left, and go for free?

    Why would more fans (other than the 3,200 regulars) be inclined to see the Zips play in a new or bigger arena against the MAC and various bottom dwelling programs, with the odd D III team thrown in? It has already been established that the team can't schedule any better. If the city floats a new arena --with the Zips as a primary tenant, they are crazy....and if the U of A somehow finances it, then it will be further proof that they are operating in a fantasy world.

    FWIW attendance this yr (3196) is is essentially the same as last yr (3335). If you back out the KSU game last yr-- because it has yet to be played this yr, it is 3196/3203. Some things never change

    Being ranked really doesn't do much for me with the schedule the Zips played this yr. I am looking forward to them winning a game in the NCAA tournament this year..... that is much more important to me

    Since they have Joey Julius at 270# kicking for them, 290 for a ILB or TE seems about right

    3600 is better than 3200... even if it is a reported total. I (we) missed last night's game--- so I know my 3 lower bowl tix were part of that total, but a small step in the right direction.

    There is no such thing as a marginal cost at a school like Akron... they are broke, and spend money they don't have, like drunken sailors .... I just wonder when it ends ( for them and other schools).

    I don't think any promotions ... other than cash prizes and lots of quality big ticket giveaways is going to move the needle much. The interest in U of A and MAC athletics is "what it is". It appeals to a very small number of people, and far too many universities over value and over spend on their teams and facilities -- throwing good money after bad.

    Would you feel the same way if they lost by 12?.....jk... about what I expected.... neerly every line had it at 12-12.5 ... not a good loss for Akron, or a good win for Creighton ... just a cruise control 12 point win
