Big East today announced they want to add a 12th team. Probably another terrible school like Tulsa.

It's okay UA is going to build an arena of 3000. That should take care of all the problems.

Unfortunately almost all of the Rowdies chants are taken from other schools. My least favorite is easily "You can't do that", since I've heard it at about 99% of the college and lower level basketball games I've been to.

Speaking of the NCAA Iowa wanted to wear TRIBUTE jerseys for former player Chris Street, star forward who passed away in a car accident in 1993. The Hawkeyes planned to wear uniforms that all had "Street" as the last name. NCAA denied their request. Similar to our request, but I feel like it's pretty low to deny a team a request for a tribute. But the NCAA did allow Providence to wear green jerseys with Sandy Hook in place of the name on the back. If I'm the NCAA I don't see a problem with tributes like that.

Look what Michigan State is wearing today. Complete with gold/bronze shoes and socks. I will say it looks awesome! Man if only we could get a blue and gold version of that!

Picture tweeted today had "@ZipsMBB" on the back. Not really a fan. I get that it's social media night but the twitter handle would get more exposure on the floor as opposed to the back of jerseys. I'm interested to see if they really see a jump in followers. Currently at 1,455.

If I had my choice I would choose to be successful at football rather than basketball. I'm sure Can't and NIU fans feel about the same right now. To me it seems easier for a team to be ranked and make a BCS game, than make a run to the Final Four. We'd never make it to either, but for most mid-major's that would be the goal.

I watched that dunk a few times and just don't see anything wrong. Could have been something he said, but physically it only could have been hanging on the rim. The ironic thing was a Buffalo player had a similar dunk at the other end a few minutes earlier. Had a dunk, hung on for about 10 seconds longer than Zeke, got the and-1 call, and proceeded to yell something at one of the Akron players. Crazy after I think I've seen it all by MAC officials, they do something even more bizarre. But hey we won and I'm happy about that.

I was honestly rooting for Can't State, which I can say never happens. Next Saturday is still a must win game. I just hope we don't look past BG.

The bottom right technical foul happened tonight, on a Zeke dunk as he got fouled gotta love the MAC!

GoZips.com box score had attendance at 5403. UA better be careful with these big crowds, what are they going to do when our 3000 person arena is built?? Would be nice to see that the rest of the season. We have Ohio and Can't, so that's two more 5+. The others are CMU, BG, and Miami and probably won't get that. All depends on how long we can keep the season's "momentum" going. A loss will really hurt "Joe Akron's" excitement over Zips basketball. Also #ZipsGameday has been trending in Cleveland for quite some time...

I actually really like it. Might look better on a navy uniform with gold logos and numbers though... I believe the tweet above mentioning "#" was sarcastic. As in it would have the number "44" on the front, not an actual hashtag... I do think it would be a good idea to put a #FearTheRoo, #GoZips or @Something on the court somewhere. Quite a few NBA teams have done it.

Honestly I'd say uniforms should be designed for players and recruits. As a fan, I don't really care as long as they win. Overall I think we should all approach this in that way, since at the end of the day the players are the one's wearing the jerseys. I just wish the football team would get creative with our uniforms too. It's time for a fresh look!

I will say that most of the basketball players seem to appreciate tweets from fans. I usually see Harney, Tree and Abreu re-tweeting a ton of stuff from fans before and after games. But like most athletes I don't expect them to respond to all of them, but I can guarantee they read them!

I usually avoid ESPN, but happened to turn on Sportscenter and they were talking about Jerome Sr's dunk. Pretty cool that his dunk is still being talked about. I'm sure we'll be seeing that highlight quite frequently if his son can be successful at UA.

...hmm didn't people around here say it was dumb to use Lebron, and that the promotion wouldn't work?

Yeah watching Savage Arena on TV last night, wasn't very impressed. Don't get me wrong it's better than the JAR, but I think UA can do much better. The capacity would be a good fit but I don't like the layout. It's asymmetrical and very strange, seems like 70-80% of the seats are on one side of the arena. Also seemed that most of the seating was on the same level, with the exception of suites/club, and barely any behind the hoops.
