If there is one thing to be said for the 90's...at least we beat Can't and Temple a lot We seemed to handle Can't during the 00's too, but the 10's not so much. Best of luck to Terry Bowden. I think it was a decent hire, but much better than Winters or Campbell or anyone else realistically mentioned here. Hopefully he can save our program and take it to new heights! Akron REALLY needs to cut down on turnovers and giving the other teams open 3's. We could have beat A&T and YSU by 40 points had we covered the perimeter. On a side note. It's really disappointing seeing Can't, Ohio, and Buffalo have such better records. We are the best team in the MAC, but because we didn't stack our schedule with cupcakes we're stuck in the middle.

He was probably just listening to Frenchy and Dunn. I don't see it as that big of a deal, and I'm sure if it were KD or one of the other coaches would have said something to him about it. Having graduated from UA a few years ago, I consider myself part of the same generation. Something older generations might be bothered with is just common practice now. It's not like the guy was sitting at the end of the bench ignoring everyone and playing angry birds on his phone. He wasn't going to be playing and if he wants to listen to some music. You can still hear whats going on when wearing ear buds. Hell I used to have headphones on during lectures and was a B average student. Not to mention pro athletes tweet during games! Even a high character guy like Scott Fujita has been tweeting during the past few Browns games, since he has been sidelined with his injury. Just give the kid a break. Don't judge him by saying he doesn't care of is low class just because he was wearing headphones...

Yes. Two stages. First takes it to 45,000; second to 68,000. Don't fret. Hiring Paul Winters will cure any desire to expand. Yes it won't be expanded any time soon, but they have a "plan" in place IF it is ever needed. I've heard that the first would included seating above the grass hill on the south side, and moving the video screen and scoreboard up above that. Guess one of the original reasons they didn't want to put a lot of work and money into the scoreboard fixture. That would easily take it over 45,000, but I'm not sure what the second phase would include. It's interesting and fun to think about, but it's one of those "if only..." dreams that most likely will never happen. Any idea where the other 23,000 seats would be?

I don't really think we are the ones saying we're not good enough. We don't win, we can't get people to come to the games, we can't get recruits to come here, and we don't have the money to pay a good coach. It's just the facts and the sad state of our football program...
