I don't think it's materially worse, though I could be swayed by stats. We seem to be winning NCAA games pretty regularly anymore. Enrique has a better all around game than Zeke, Big Dog, and Tree already I think. If he can extend his range some and become a bit more coordinated, he's got a real shot at being the best big in program history.

I'll be that guy,...Big Dog deserves to be in the discussion. He did win MAC POTY. I think it would be cool if we could somehow create a poll and rank our top 10, 15, 20 whatever Zips players and combine the votes to get the official ZN.o player ranking.

Like Cap'n, I too think Smigel is a solid place kicker. I also thought Slike was a solid punter last year. Both should still have eligibility, however I recall Arth mentioning something about Slike looking to move on to start his professional (non-athletic) career in finance, so he may be gone and that would explain the addition of the All-American FCS punter. I'd imagine Folser and the kicker from Jackson will compete to replace Smigel once he's gone.

I really wish kickers were rated the same way as the other positions.

May be an unpopular opinion, but I think Groce needs to take a close look at bringing Trimble off the bench. Give him 10-15 mins to see if he’s “on” for the night. If he is, give him more then planned. He’s a specialist who hasn’t been holding up his end for a lot of the season. If he’s not on, just about everyone on the bench can contribute in another way.

Feels like Castenada has been really efficient lately.
