  1. Yep. I always use it to listen to 640 WHLO for Zips events and don't pay for anything.
  2. iheartradio is the way to go.
  3. I think I'd take Fordham to cover, but Zips money line. For what its worth, I do also believe you have the opportunity to watch replays.
  4. Let's go Zips!. I've only seen them play against OSU so far, so I'll likely pay the $30 for 3 games against more respectable competition.
  5. I very much agree. Maybe not to the extent of NIU turnaround this year, but hopefully bowl eligible.
  6. Happy to throw in a donation if the option is given. I'm sure others would as well if there's a link stickied somewhere or something.
  7. This was the easiest money I've made all year. This defense is the worst in the nation. Its like its 11 vs 7 when Kent is on O.
  8. Kent is out to embarrass us.
  9. The questions I'd like to know the answer to (and I have a hunch): Do we pay to have these patsies to come to our place to play? Could we get paid to go to P5 programs and play? Would we come out ahead considering cost of travel/lodging, whether or not we were paid, to go play somewhere compared to paying teams to come to our place, assuming that is the case? Regardless of all of that - its not like we don't have costs to go to the Gulf Coast Showcase, Maui Invitational, Wright State, WVU etc.. There is the opportunity to replace those weaker away games/exhibition games with better regional opponents and being in the same spot we are now.
  10. turn on a Navy game. Potentially Army and Georgia Southern too.
  11. He's embarrassed his son a ton throughout his career and Kato has likely been judged, fairly or not based on his actions. Could you understand what he was saying?
  12. I think its pretty obvious why the schedule is the way it is this year. A lot of new faces and roles. The team may exceed expectations/gel quicker than expected and thats great. I don't enjoy the schedule, but understand the logic. BTW - KD was the one who said nobody wanted to play Akron.
  13. Lost and gone forever.
  14. our 3 best pieces right now are likely a traditional QB and two WRs. It would be such an Akron move to go to the triple option.
  15. Just took a peek at the Dookies record. 1-2 with a win over Rider and losses to Weber State and Hofstra. YIKES.
  16. I'm pretty sure its just the $20 to access that area. I believe you can buy beer elsewhere throughout the arena, but I didn't attend so can't confirm!
  17. Does not compute.
  18. So he was interested in YSU, but not Akron. Suuuurreeee. He was never a candidate. It's embarrassing the local media reported as much.
  19. I want to make it clear I wasn't advocating for him, just making it known. If I had to guess, he would win some here, but leave us high and dry as soon as he could in a likely inconvenient position. Not somebody I want.
  20. Whatever you think of Petrino the person, he has won everywhere he's been at the collegiate level.
  21. So Thamel says we can't afford to gamble on upside (which I agree with), then Feldman says we are looking at George? lol. Should be fun! George would be the least experienced coach we've ever hired. Lambert seems to have good, well rounded experience and has spent a significant amount of time at programs who recruit Ohio, but his 22-48 record as HC at Charlotte is worrisome. I don't have much thoughts on him at Purdue this year. Odom doesn't seem to have a connection to the area, but looking at his Wikipedia, it looks like he actually did okay at Missouri considering its Missouri. He went 25-25 in total and was only 38 when hired, so definitely able to learn from that experience and continue to grow I'd think. His D at Arkansas appears to be top 1/3rd-ish from a quick look on ESPN. Tony Alford just may be my favorite. He's from the area, has been a great recruiter (ranked #11 out of all coaches last year), has ND, OSU, and other P5's on his resume, and has had the Associate HC title at OSU and Iowa State. He's definitely one of the best position coaches in the country. He's definitely somebody I'd take from OSU, but I'm not sure if we can put up the $$ to get him if we wanted if I'm being honest. That seems to be a tight knit staff considering the status, job security, and pay that come with it. Kevin Wilson likely not a bad choice, but I don't think we can afford the $$ for him once again. Per Wikipedia, he's making 1.2 million this year. Mike London's resume is kind of all over the place. Seems he parlayed one FCS championship and another solid year at Richmond with predominately Dave Clawson's players to a HC job with Virginia. He did bad at VA (27-46). He had a good first year at Howard, then jumped after the 2nd year, which was a losing season, to take his current role at William & Mary where he is 12-13 thus far (6-4 this year). At the FCS level over his career, he was pulled off FBS wins vs ULNV and Duke
  22. Prather and Johnson has to be Groce’s best group of high schooler’s in any class yet for us, right?
  23. Who do you have in mind?
  24. The Portage John’s make a change at DC prior to our game. https://footballscoop.com/news/kent-state-is-making-a-change-at-defensive-coordinator
  25. Ali is a tremendous talent..just needs to be assertive on a consistent basis. He plays more passive than he should generally. Said the same last year.
