Outside of 2018, Syracuse has been a failure..but it’s also Syracuse. He showed how good he could be in the MAC at BG, and his disciple (Sean Lewis) is doing well at Kent. I could go either way on him, but he’s a known commodity whose had success in our conference. The more I think about it, it might be our best low risk, high reward type of hire.
plus. If he’s fired, he can likely bring at least a handful of his 2022 recruits and players with him, which should be a nice foundation to start with.
