  1. Devin Jordan in the transfer portal..... https://247sports.com/college/akron/Season/2019-Football/TransferPortal/
  2. For those who wants us to recruit Cbus more
  3. Back up/PG of the future addressed!
  4. Davis was scooped up quick. JJ Watt isn't a bad pro to learn from.
  5. How awesome. Congrats Ulysees!
  6. Looks like NFL cameras screwed the announcement up and it wasn't showed. Gotta be kidding me.
  7. Looks like we are going to announce the Browns 6th round pick. Them taking a Zip would be sweet!
  8. That is my uneducated guess, yes. Mostly because I hope we wouldn't be losing out on players to Lamar. Happens all the time. Maybe not so much in basketball (at least to my knowledge) but it definitely does in football. Look no further than us landing Peter Hayes-Patrick with "offers" from FSU and OSU.
  9. I would think players we offered committed elsewhere bodes well for us landing Dos Anjos, as we've only got one spot. I've been wrong before though. Wondering if we'll ever address backup PG....
  10. dang.
  11. https://gozips.com/news/2019/4/23/akron-football-to-participate-in-akrons-draft-day-experience-on-saturday.aspx The University of Akron football will participate in the City of Akron’s celebration of the Draft Day Experience on Saturday, April 27, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lock 3 (200 South Main Street). The Zips will join City officials in announcing a 2019 NFL Draft pick on Day 3 live during the national telecast as a part of the NFL’s 13 original cities. Akron’s head coach Tom Arth and Director of Athletics Larry Williams, both former NFL players, are slated to participate. At Lock 3, fans will be treated to big screen television coverage as well as games, inflatables, and food trucks. The event is FREE.

  13. This guy is just a twitter draft guy, but his takes are usually well thought out and rational.
  14. Staff has been working their butt off on the recruiting trail per twitter. Wonder when we'll get the first commit of the class?
  15. My thoughts on yesterday: The weather was awesome. I actually got a little sunburned. It was nice to be on campus/show the girlfriend around. The surplus sale was a let down compared to prior years. Same shoes as last year., generic shirts they give out for free, tight workout shirt I'd never wear in public. They did seem to have a nice jersey selection if you were looking to grab one of those. Agree with clark re: the grab bags. I picked up 3 and got the same For Pete's Sake purple shirt, new rew run, and Detroit Roo Crew shirt in each of them. Along with 365 branded sunglasses, a zips head band, and a Matthew Wilson bobblehead. I mean you definitely get your money's worth, but some variance would've been nice. I liked seeing the coaches in action during the drills. I basically have zero thoughts on the players. I did have to leave at 1 so maybe I missed some of the action, but by that time there were about 10 live-action 11 on 11 reps in total. The only comments I unfortunately have is that the Mount Union transfer does look like he can contribute. I know yesterday was advertised as being a bit different than your average spring game, but I wish there was more 11 on 11s. Maybe most of the time after I left was just that.
  16. Also another one. Duke fans seem to think they have a chance at getting Utomi
  17. Williams was the leading scorer and rebounder on last year's team.
  18. I saw the highlights and thought #41 might have been Abe Alce, so i'd agree that it looks like Deltron has bulked up some!
  19. I've liked seeing the posts about all of the players going out and inviting faculty to the practice. Arth seems to get it...
  20. Nice read on how conferences benefit from tourney success. Makes you contemplate rooting for your conference foes a little more! https://www.crainscleveland.com/kevin-kleps-blog/ncaa-tournament-win-worth-millions-which-can-mean-windfall-likes-mac-and-horizon?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialflow
  21. I find it interesting that, per his tweet, he was transferring due to family health but ended up 443 miles farther away from home (Fort Lauderdale). He must have some family in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
  22. I'm glad Buffalo had some success the past 2 years. Makes the MAC look better. Is Oats going to be there long term? Seems like right now is a pivotal point for him to make that decision. He loses a lot and could end up costing himself a lot of $$$ if he stays and isn't able to at least replicate recent success. I have trouble seeing him there next year, IMO.
