  1. This one just popped up on 247 as an offer/warm/Akron crystal ball pick. https://247sports.com/player/quevan-lawson-46039289/
  2. I'm going to withhold my opinion on the class until all signings are officially announced. We seem to still be in the running to land some nice players. As stated, some of these players that have committed that seem underwhelming are going to be walk-ons. Offers are a nice measurement, but so is tape. I don't remember Alvin Davis or Jatavis Brown having any other offers, even FCS.
  3. Well we technically control our own destiny, so I don't have a problem with them winning. I'll take beating a ranked team at home (have we ever beaten a ranked team in history??) vs being a 2 seed instead of a 1 anyways. Not that I think we'll realistically be a 1 or 2 seed, but seeding seems to be the reasoning in your post.
  4. Buffalo stays ranked at #23. Let's hope they can manage not losing until we face them. Would love the chance to knock off a ranked team at the JAR, especially Buffalo!
  5. His offer list isn't much to brag about, but I like the hudl. http://www.hudl.com/profile/7543206/Michael-Mathison
  6. unsure who this might be.
  7. Probably not the thread for it, but the rest of conference play is going to be really telling for the Zips with the likes of Toledo, Buffalo (2x) BG (2x), and Kent (2x) left. Compared to last year, we are already only 1 win away from matching our conference and overall win total, which has me off of the ledge compared to the beginning of conference play when we were getting blown out by NIU. Who knew NIU would be contenders in the West and knock off Buffalo at that point though? Going 5-5 in the final 10 would have me content as the program would be showing improvement by a solid margin over last year . That would also put us in realistic range to get to that coveted "20 win season" by winning a few games in the conference tourney. Of course, I wouldn't mind us doing better! These games are vital to our seeding in the tourney. as we will be duking it out with the top 4 teams in the East and the current 1st place in the West.
  8. Looks like he actually signed with UMASS in the early period, but they've mutually decided to part ways. He was their highest rated recruit and will have 2 years of eligibility. https://247sports.com/Article/UMass-RB-Bilal-Ally-stays-in-Amherst-signee-Bannerman-released-127602704
  9. So....i can't find any link with Zak Hill to Michigan State. I did find one OL that had offers to BG and Arkansas State at on point though. https://malonepioneers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5193&path=football
  10. Yep. I took a peak over there because I get enjoyment over bobkitten tears, but there is....nothing.
  11. Feels good stomping a conference opponent and winning on the road. The opponent being OU is just gravy!
  12. I love it when Utomi is on. Great start to the second by everyone.
  13. Not a bad first half. Lets go Zips!
  14. Riak and Poke out there at the same time is a different wrinkle.
  15. Good to know. Thanks. So we shouldn't worry about the WR as he's gone. What;s the name of the OL? Looks like the DE is going to be a Jr, unless you're talking about yet another brother.
  16. Did some reading on that last night. I would be surprised if they are interested in any as they've won 8 games the past 7 years. That is not a typo. However, hopefully it equates to some more Zips fans at games!
  17. Really wish Buffalo would've been ranked when they came to the JAR. Not sure if they deserve it/I see it happening with 2 MAC losses.
  18. I concur. Quite possibly the best GT article I've ever read. Informative and to the point rather than general and full of corny phrases.
  19. I don't really have an opinion either way, TBH. Like zippy5 said, my comment was more in relation to the Pandora's box comment. It seems the NCAA has stepped in there and it not become a huge issue.
  20. We've got a DT with a real nice offer list visiting campus this weekend, per 247. Seems the P5 schools have cooled off on him as of late. https://247sports.com/player/jordan-jefferson-46050935/
  21. NCAA already suspends players for failed drug tests without conviction (both PEDs and recreational).
  22. Good.
  23. I’m thinking walk on for the Benedictine QB, but I’ve been wrong before.
  24. Charlie Frye is the QB/OC coach at CMU. Amazing two staffs missed out on a chance to bring him here.
