  1. This was actually a very informative post, but you just HAD to Balsy it and be condescending and bring politics into it. While a better source could have been cited, I don't see anything politically slanted in the article. Simply reporting of news and facts. Come on man.
  2. http://gozips.com/news/2018/5/31/times-for-several-zips-football-games-announced.aspx Looks like we are getting Nebraska on Fox at 8pm. Also looks like we will no longer be able to watch our games on ESPN3, but rather ESPN+, which is ESPN's new and separate streaming service that costs $$. What a crock of crap.
  3. so what position do we think he is?
  4. whew. I hope you're right about him. his twitter still says he a VA commit though.
  5. I'm not even trying to be a prick. I enjoyed watching and following the good Kest teams. The reality is that it is not a popular sport and we don't have the luxury from a financial perspective to make a serious commitment to it, so I'm just fine cutting corners where they can be cut.
  6. once again, we are talking about women's bball here.
  7. Putting everything I'm reading together, it seems like Terry really wants the job and the interest isn't mutual, at least as of yet. Reports of him emerging as a strong candidate seems to be a bit misleading.
  8. If he's going D2 after only a year at OU, I wouldn't think there is a spot for him here, at least from a scholly standpoint.
  9. Money talks. Reality of college football. 1.8M is basically 2 of these pay day games. Worth the most likely blowout honestly. I have more interest in it being vs OSU than Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Penn State, or Michigan. I'm sure the players/recruits feel the same way. I thought the B1G was doing away with scheduling us lowly G5 programs though.
  10. Can't believe you aren't on top of this one @Blue & Gold Beat out Miami (OH), Toledo, and WMU for him. https://macprospectus.com/2018/05/17/akron-football-recruiting-kobe-hilton/
  11. not even worth firing away at, tbh.
  12. just another example of the benefit of a tourney run... http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/23500858/donations-loyola-chicago-ramblers-increased-660-percent-final-four-run
  13. You raise some good points, but this is women's basketball we are talking about here. I hope Mr. Williams finds a great value for the job. No more top of the conference salaries for women's bball.
  14. That's correct, AFAIK. GT has never been one to pay much attention to detail, unless we're talking about movie plots.

  16. I wonder if anyone thinks this would've been reality two years ago.
  17. FWIW - KD had 4 scholarship players transfer out of his program this year (compared to our 3). He also brought in a large freshman class. It may work out for him in 3 years, but is Duq going to be patient for that long? Would we give Groce that long? I think I like Groce's approach better for now personally. We've had our transition year. Time to stop the bleeding and maintain/build upon what the program was prior to last year. Can't waste valuable time waiting/hoping for freshman to develop. Cap'n did a good job on hitting on how it compares to the football program. More freshman will come in once the program is stable again. As for the 500 college transfers. This is the state of college basketball.
  18. I do not listen to ESPN Cle, but surely I am not the only one who heard that because the Browns drafted Mayfield, 1) Goldhammer is supposed to eat horse poop (which he claims he still will do) and 2) Grossi is supposed to retire. Please, please let both of those happen.
  19. sounds right to me (with how it stands today of course).
  20. Yeah this is interesting considering I thought we were full on scholly's. My totally uniformed opinion - Zipmeister brought up Williams' academics for some odd reason. I'm starting to think he is ineligible this year and doesn't count as a scholly?
  21. I believe I saw Jamal Marcus is going to get a try out for the Jets as well.
  22. Meh. The almighty Steelers took Josh Dobbs last year and people were saying something similar. That pick must not be so great if they are willing to spend higher draft capital on another QB a year later.
  23. spelled it exactly the way TB pronounces it though.
