I've been hearing the family ticket package promotion nearly constantly on 94.9. Something like a $500 value for $240.. lower level seating in the "Kids corner", parking, and concessions (amount unknown) for each game.

I was on the train to keep him until his contract runs up, but I think Zipps5 has a point. Why would any player consider your program when the coach is probably gone before you step foot on campus? You think other recruiting classes looked rough...wait til you see 2019's if they keep him without extending.

yeah I saw that. The numerical roster had Jest listed. The alphabetical roster did not. I am not surprised.

Gosh darnit, I REALLY hate to bring this up....but it is worth mentioning. I expect our attendance to be higher this year compared to last (10,337). In 2015 our attendance was 18k, which was largely made up of tickets bough by the University to meet the FBS attendance requirements, which requires an average attendance of 15k on a 2 year rolling period. Being that clearly the 2016 attendance number doesn't include some large "artificial" spike, it seems like the opposite would be the case for 2017.

I have no clue to the quality of the site/writer/the quality of coverage we will get, but there will apparently be somebody new covering Zips football this season.

I think that is fair even though I don't think the recruiting ratio is a big of deal as you are making it out to be. I don't think we brought in any JUCO or year-of-eligibility-left players this season.

Not many were man enough to put it in writing and say what would make this season successful and why in their eyes, so I'll ask another question. What would you need to see from Bowden & Co these last 2 seasons under contract to keep them on board?

I was one of the ones high on Jest. Definitely room to improve as you said, but I thought he looked fine considering he was a true freshman and not in great shape. Forget where I read it, but I would look out for Sampson along with Hanson to be involved as a true freshman at DE. I recall somebody saying (coach or media) say he had higher talent, but a lot of schools stayed away because they didn't think he would qualify.

Still no Davis/Bell. Montel Jordan is gone. I don't notice anyone new.

Damn it is tough being a fan sometimes. As for Jest planning to come back, I think thats what they all say.......
