  1. Big Dog's FT shooting is a liability.
  2. Campus Insiders seems completely fine to me.
  3. Check that. Major Applewhite gets the gig at Houston.
  4. Hill is having a ridiculous rookie season.
  5. As far as I know, that rule is only for basketball. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/13142145/ncaa-proposes-new-nba-draft-rule-allow-underclassmen-return-school
  6. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/2016/12/08/pj-fleck-western-michigan-close-extension/95147226/
  7. Not a ton of info here but some changes/plans: http://buchtelite.com/33272/news/actions-at-yesterdays-board-meeting/?platform=hootsuite
  8. Zags by 25. Will it be televised?
  9. And Lane Kiffin to Houston. I almost have to wonder if Fleck is holding out for a Notre Dame or Tennessee job. Or if his supposed unwillingness to talk to teams until after the season was over did him in. Can't decide if him possibly staying at WMU is a good thing or a bad thing. http://footballscoop.com/news/houston-will-name-lane-kiffin-new-head-coach/
  10. And Fickell to UC. One less spot for Fleck.
  11. Unless there are some late surprise firings, it is looking more and more likely that Fleck will be at WMU yet another season. Baylor, LSU, Indiana, Oregon, Purdue and Texas have been filled. The interest doesn't seem there for Cinci. Maybe Temple or Houston? The AAC is getting poached, so that is a benefit I suppose. If I had to guess right now, it would be Houston (if anyone). They are desperate to keep the program at a high level and can pay $$$
  12. http://mac-sports.com/news/2016/11/29/FB_1129165540.aspx
  13. Agree. Looks to be very well done.
  14. great stuff wadszip.
  15. If I had to guess, he will be drafted, but it will end up being rounds 5-7. Positives - produced when targeted, good size/speed, ton of upside and has shown ability to develop at position, weak WR class. Negatives - still raw, ran limited route tree in college, "stiff", shows disinterest at times, needs improve on high pointing the ball. At worst, he seems absolutely worth a late round flyer to me.
  16. Interesting marketing tactic for sure...
  17. I am totally against dropping down, but Idaho is actually going to be the first team to drop down beginning next season. Will be an interesting case study.
  18. With Navy getting blown out by Temple and WMU holding off Ohio, they're going to the Cotton Bowl. Nice job and $$ for the MAC and Akron.
  19. Jerome seemed like a pretty good blocker at WR even though they aren't really the same animal. My biggest critique of him, from my couch scouting perspective, is that he seems to play "stiff". Doesn't seem to have the agility of an NFL WR but has about all the other tools.
  20. Crappy OU didn't look too bad last night.
  21. Not to mention there are some new guys in there. Unfair to judge them based on prior administrations. I've said it on here before, but I really came away impressed with Larry Williams when I had the chance to talk to him. I am also liking how active our new President is.
  22. There was where Jojo Natson was yet to step on the field in an Akron uniform. There was a time Jerome Lane didn't even play offense. Both panned out pretty well. Both made instant impacts. Relax. There is plenty of depth and young talent at the position. Losing players to the NFL due to graduation or early declaration is a "problem" that every good program in the country deals with.
  23. Then again Roger Lewis somehow went undrafted and is now a regular contributor for the Giants while Louis got some opportunity and lost it. Not agreeing or disagreeing with your statement, just random thought that the NFL doesn't make the most sense to me sometimes.
  24. I'm up for a bet.
