I enjoy this annual thread. Haven't made my final decision yet but I do really like Trubisky. My answer will be between him and Watson. Kizer does nothing for me. FWIW, Matt Miller from bleacher report has Allen going #3 overall in his mock. I'm calling bs if any of these guys are claiming to have watched him more than once this season. The hype literally just started and he didn't look great in his bowl game. Probably will go back to school but the thought of being a top QB drafted could entice him.

Whether you or I or anyone else thinks those statements are true or not, it is important that recruits feel that way. Serious question - do you get any enjoyment out of being a fan of the Zips?

What do you think about Hughes?! I want him just as much. He was already the 2nd leading scorer for Missouri as a freshman.

You guys are making a little bit of a big deal of preseason rankings I think. The initial CFP rankings, which is used to determine who goes to the playoff, does not come out until week 10. For the most, the initial rankings were within 1 or 2 spots from the AP poll, but there were teams who took considerable jumps like Penn State did.

8 team playoff fixes everything. 5 P5 champs get an auto bid, G5 "champ" gets a bid, and two at larges. Everybody wins.

CJ Oldham was also a member of that class, as I pointed out above. Everything I can find/remember points that he was on scholarship.

Everyone is always quick to throw Milwee under the bus. BOWDEN has been the one who has made comments that show zero regard for the defense. You don't think it would be corrected if the HC had an issue with it?

Lehigh and Wyoming saw the potential. We are supposed to be better. We should be seeing the potential of the players in our own backyard. CJ McCollum just sign a 106 million dollar contract. We took CJ Oldham instead. I'm not trying to be overly critical because even though it stings, whats done is done. I would just like us to accept the mistake(s) and try to learn from it, not make excuses. I was thinking of starting the thread on Pete a few weeks ago actually. It is encouraging to hear that the coaching staff is showing interest. He has a handful of D-1 offers currently, but none from a program the quality of Akron's.
