  1. You can tell its not a sellout, but I wouldn't say the crowd looks disappointing on TV.
  2. Quick cash isn't the reasoning for the proposition. Being fiscally responsible is the reasoning behind the thoughts. Not only do the sports I mentioned not generate "quick cash", they generate zero cash at all and never will. I don't see anyway that it would be pushed to the high school level or lower because you aren't traveling clear across the country or paying coaches a comfortable salary to coach golf at a level that nobody cares enough to pay to watch.
  3. They have shot better from inside the ark than from 3 all season. We lost to yet another team that we shouldn't. Probably because we shot so poor on what should be higher % shots. Maybe they should practice them more. You're better than using an anomaly to make a point.
  4. Its a good thing we have all that depth.
  5. i really don't have an opinion on TW one way or the other. I would say the Ianello hire is a fire-able offense itself, but its hilarious how he gets all the blame for that and no credit for anything else.
  6. so does nobody have an opinion on this?
  7. Something needs to give regarding the AK-Rowdies. They are downright pathetic. I think a change in leadership is needed. The same guys who are currently in charge were in charge when I was in school, and to be honest I wasn't much of a fan. Are they making a career out of being a student or what?
  8. Two things: It's "Kincade". And Woodson was committed to Arizona, not ASU.
  9. highly unlikely. Lets be real, we all know it would have been a long shot to keep him.

  11. Sounds like a record to me. The record was broke multiple times a few seasons ago during our long winning streak, but I don't remember it being that high. If it isn't a record, its really close to it.
  12. Great team win. Let's keep it up.
  13. I was at the Buffalo/Akron game Saturday night. I noticed the Pres and TB (probably a few other big wigs I'm sure) were sitting front and near center. The AD on the other hand..at the top of the reserved seating. Probably doesn't mean anything but I thought it was odd he wasn't with everyone else.
  14. I don't know where else to put it, but the QB Harrison kid for the class of 2016 has apparently reopened his recruitment.
  15. what about the 7 teams we lost to? I bet all of them have had better recruiting the past 5 years. What about the programs with the top classes in the nation the past 5 years? I bet they had near top programs.
  16. +1. Would be shocked if there was even a preview to read.
  17. +1 Best wing defender, best on the team in FG% outside of post players, 2nd leading scorer (with only 18 mins/game), best athlete on the team, and shoots the 3 at a respectable rate (better than one of our so called "specialists" who is starting ahead of him). Really a complete player. With all that said, 6th most minutes per game on our team. Name me another program whose best or 2nd best player on the team plays 18 minutes a game. KD must be smarter than every other coach in America. I guess as long as he's bringing energy off the bench, though. And for the record, I'm not necessarily against him coming off the bench, but the fact is he needs more minutes. For all those who want to bring up Q last season, he averaged 30 minutes a night. Looking forward to more losses against lesser opponents.
  18. What I'm about to say may not be popular, but it is smart. Obviously Title 9 has to be considered and I don't care to know the ins and outs of it at this point, but I would look at cutting all of the non-revenue producing sports that you can. Especially at MAC level schools. You want to compete in sports that matter? How about a reallocation of funds. Tennis and Rifle pop out right at the top of my head for Akron. How much money was just put into a new tennis complex for a sport that has never generated a dollar in revenue. If those sports weren't offered at UA, how much more money would we have to put towards football and basketball? Increase recruiting budgets, increase HC salaries so you don't have to worry about losing them and starting from scratch, increase asst coach salaries so there is more continuity in the programs. I could go on and on really but I think I've got my point across.
  19. ^^ Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed watching her at UA and she seems like a great person.

  21. Im sure you will, but please share anything you come across on Lockett.
  22. Not worth a new thread, but it appears Hannah Luburgh's time playing overseas has come to an end.
  23. /Keith Dambrot logic. I brought the point up in a prior thread and it got completely ignored. For good reason I suppose.
  24. Pretty disappointing article for sure. Not one of their better pieces.
  25. Is there a video of the press conference I guess you would call it today? Would like to see that where I don't have to chase around info all over the internet before giving an opinion.
