Great two plays in a row for the SVSM Akron duo. Junius with an athletic tip pass/interception, then Williams follows with an 8 yd rumble for a TD. Williams has looked like the best player on the field tonight for the Irish, IMO.

Pretty sure the refs ruled it a catch, which is all that really matters. I don't know why it's so hard to just enjoy watching our players in the state championship game without the little brother syndrome getting in the way. Williams has gotten plenty of recognition.

I know we don't like to use facts to bash OSU every chance that we can, but he was talking about getting in over a 1-loss Michigan team, not undefeated. If OSU had the same record as a SEC opponent, the SEC team would be in over them. Don't know why I keep responding.

He had a big catch that led to their first FG and a fumble recovery. He is Mr. Ohio football...they are going to talk about him a lot.

3-4 makes a lot of sense to me. Pittman, Grice, and Capi. Brown and Mizell ILBs, March OLB..not sure who to put at the Leo. I know Evans is a good player, but maybe Turner? I like him as a pass rusher more than anything.

The MAC being competitive will take care of itself. Every conference has bottom feeders, and I would want Miami to be a bottom feeder over anyone. Yes, even Can't and OU. I want our rivals to actually be decent to make for big games (as long as they we still win). Everybody that I've met from there fits the mold of the "collar-popped frat boy". I've actually met decent people from Can't and OU.

The whole "SEC Speed" thing came after Florida ran circles around OSU in the national title game. It was heavily pushed by ESPN. I do not know of any SEC fans that I talk to on a normal basis, from from what I read online, people still try to push the agenda of the SEC having some superior speed, while simultaneously taking a shot at the Midwest's lack of speed. What SEC team plays in NC?

I'm aware of that. In OSU's most recent BCS bowl against an SEC team, they were a 3pt favorite and beat the spread. OSU now has Urban Meyer (the guy that owned the SEC while he was there).

I don't care what the line was then. Dr. Z wondered if OSU would be favored against SEC teams in the title game, and I posted them. If we want to play that game, what was the line when OSU played Miami in the 'ship (when most thought they didn't belong, just like this year)?

If Bama had a kicker, they could worry about being favored...but instead they crapped the game away against Auburn. Should have won by 2 scores easily.

I completely agree with this. I think 8 is the perfect number of teams that are "capable" of winning, but would have no problem with 16.

I saw this on twitter today, I mean I knew it, but never really thought of it. Out of the 7 straight SEC titles, Urban Meyer has two of them and Saban has 3. Is the conf outside of those two really "great"? Yes, LSU beat the crap out of OSU one year and Auburn won with Ca$h Newton..but I think it supports my theory that outside of Bama...its a crap shoot.
