  1. Or me in the other thread where I brought him up the day before...
  2. the 9 seconds didn't mean jack. We turned the ball over on downs, we didn't run out of time.
  3. Quincy and Harney are the closest thing we have to true wings on the team.
  4. anyone ever pay attention the bench? Seems like BJ Gladden is the only who gives a damn. He is still clapping for and encouraging teammates down 30+. I'm not opposed to burning his shirt and playing him..I mean he seems to be the only one who gives a crap. Don't mean to be so negative. I can deal with losing to teams better than us. I can deal with losing a close one to a team about equal to us. I can even deal with having an off night and losing to a team that we shouldn't. But getting our asses handed to us (understatement) to a team of this caliber is really hard for me to deal with. Best we can hope for is that the conclusion of this road trip serves as some sort of a turning point on the season.
  5. Lets look on the bright side, at least that jacked up scheduling and 3am game gave us the opportunity to get embarrassed 3 times in a week on national television.
  6. they've seriously given up..
  7. If the team and coaches have packed it in for the rest of OOC, then I might have to myself. South Carolina blows. The only advantage they have is coaching, and its more than apparent.
  8. Not trying to be "that guy", but I just cannot consider ourselves a "top-shelf" mid-major program. I consider us an above average mid-major program. We have never won a NCAA tourney game nor beaten a ranked program. Top shelf programs shake things up on a national scale, not make it to their 1 bid conference tourney champ game usually and win ~50% of the time.
  9. Two words: Tyler Boyd. We better double him.
  10. What are people's thoughts on Dru Joyce?
  11. I'm sure you will ruffle the feathers of a few posters, but these are some of the same questions I've asked myself (even maybe posed on here) for the past few years. The program still seems to be in the same spot. I think your whole post brings up very good points and poses some questions that should be pondered.
  12. Didn't want to create a thread, so I figured this should be an okay place to put this. http://www.hustlebelt.com/2013/12/26/52262...eason-in-review Hustlebelt's Akron Zips season in review. I have trouble disagreeing with any of it.
  13. @BobMcGovernJr: Charley Molnar has been dismissed as the head football coach of the University of Massachusetts.
  14. UMASS coach reportedly fired.
  15. South Carolina is anything but a decent team. They currently have the worst record in the SEC at 3-6. They are also without their leading minutes per game guy from last season in Bruce Ellington. He is currently with the football team. Regardless of the outcome of this one, I'll bet they get us at home as well. Better coach.
  16. had to look it up because I found it hard to believe there are many teams worse than us at FT shooting. We rank 337 out of 351 teams at 61.5%
  17. 7/15 on foul shots. Same old Akron. Hard to win close games shooting from the stripe like that.
  18. at this point Deji deserves more minutes than Kretzer, IMO.
  19. Pittman was in a questionable situation at OSU. Was probably better off for him to leave.
  20. Nope. Didn't expect him to, either.
  21. Deji giving some contributing minutes, Q playing very unselfish, and the refs are letting them play some. Can't complain too much.
  22. Starting lineup- Evans, McAdams, Harney, Tree, and Forsythe. Probably the starting lineup we all prefer.
  23. St. Marys went 0-3 during this tournament..wow.
  24. We dont want Toledo starting out more than 16-0. If they happen to beat Kansas, you can guarantee they are going to skyrocket up the polls.
  25. unrelated to the MAC, but I believe Tennessee has at least 34 (!) commits already. I believe another loophole is that you can greyshirt some players and have them count towards next year's class. I believe that is what was done with Bickley. As for the MAC, WMU and UMASS is the most surprising to me. They picked up Lonnie Johnson (who I really wanted us to get) even after their horrible season. Last year, UMASS brought in a stud at RB and appears to be continuing to do the same even after showing no improvement as a program this season. I'm pretty sure I read that their QB is transferring.
