I thought it was good. Andy Geiger came off as a true piece of scum who railroaded Clarett out of OSU, though I dont think Clarett should have got Jim Brown involved (not to mention Jesse freaking Jackson). Last little bit of Tressel talk at the end makes me think he is done with coaching. I'm sure the haters will poke their heads in here, but everything I see from him really makes me think he is a great person. Not perfect, obviously, but somebody who really cares about other people. The doc didn't change my opinion, just reinforces it. And one last thing- I think it would be awesome if Bowden did at Akron what Tressel did a YSU (focus hard on the area talent). I believe the doc said the attendance went from something like 2200 a game to 22000 a game after Tressel started focusing on the Youngstown kids.

Tressel isn't going back to coaching, especially after he is named the President of UA.

Not at all. I was referring to major programs really (I think GP1 would agree). I think Akron and most other Ohio MAC programs have a unique opportunity that most others don't have. We have one major program in a state, and more specifically region with a ton of talent. Not sure ANY other state can say the same.

Money talks, but I have to believe he should have waited for a better opportunity. He will probably go there, fail. and then end up at Presbyterian or something like Turner Gill. You aren't going to turn historical mediocre/bottom feeder programs into contenders.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but once again, I think you are giving CSU too little credit. I think it was a nice win for the Zips, especially after that long break. It did look like Tree was forcing some shots, but they will come. He hit a lot of those last year. I like what Deji provided, and truthfully do not have a problem with Q coming off of the bench. 6th men are starter quality and if he is still playing starter minutes, I have no problem with it. It was also a great to see Nyles come along some and give us some offensive production. Melo cannot play more than 10 minutes a game.

First thing that came to my mind as well. Amazing how much alike we think.

One thing that stuck out to me is that Hakeem Lawrence was named scout team DPOY. He was a freshman running back last season who got some time, but red-shirted this year. Maybe a move to DB?
