  1. what about the Can't game?
  2. Idk, maybe by what would seem to be a long-shot now, he is getting a training camp invite? Surely there would be news about it.
  3. I like the promotion. They did it a few years ago as well. Nothing pisses me off like seeing people wear OSU gear to Akron sporting events.
  4. I'm sure his potential pay day would be motivating enough, and lets be real, is there REALLY any difference where you live in Europe?
  5. I think you should look at the roster turnover now compared to two years ago. We can compete in every game.
  6. yikes. pretty disappointing.
  7. Indiana smacked BG. We are very similar on offense to the Hoosiers in that we pass a lot. Our run D is also stout. Not having to deal with a dual-threat QB is a bonus. Should be another nail-biter for the Zips, and most certainly should beat the spread.
  8. I heard from a little birdie that it was actually Dalton Williams who noticed that the play would work.
  9. I still hold onto my prediction of 5 wins. JMU, Can't, Miami, UMASS, and an upset along the way. Performance wise, they have exceeded my expectations. Winning wise, just have met. So, not much to complain about from me, yet.
  10. Looks to be a fun battle for the bottom of the division between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
  11. are we using murray st to gauge them?
  12. good luck to the cajuns the rest of the way!
  13. Thoughts on the game: defense: Pretty satisfied with the run defense. Pass defense took a step back tonight compared to last week, IMO. Pass rush was also somewhat of a disappointment. Dont believe we sacked Broadway all night. Tackling was pretty good as well. offense: Hundley continues to make a case to get more carries. I'd hope that we have a WR rotation figured out by now. I'm not making a case for or against anybody, just noticed that Williams was on the field a lot tonight, and I dont think he played at all last week. Lets pick a rotation and stick with it. LOVE Bickley, though. Thought Pohl could have played better. If you get pressure on him, chances are he isnt going to make a play. team: We had a lot of opportunities to cause turnovers, but the ball didnt bounce our way, unfortunately. The onside was killer. Attempting field goals at the end of the game was ABSOLUTELY the right call. Stein just couldnt hit them for whatever reason. ULL is a pretty damn good mid-major. They have nice size. We fought back after being down early again. This team doesn't give up, and I love that. Bummed we didnt get the win, but still looking forward to conference play. I think we can win. Go Zips!!
  14. yeah this is way more embarrassing than losing to Gardner Webb. Idiot.
  15. Style points matter. See Oregon passing OSU after beating Nicholl's state 66-3, when OSU only beat Buffalo 40-20. Starters didnt play a down in the 2nd half unless it was needed, and I dont think the ball was thrown once the second half. No problem with what they did.
  16. private for me as well
  17. this is true.
  18. I really like this matchup. Give me 42-38 Zips!
  19. Why am I not surprised this would cross your mind. And, I hardly consider Arizona football "prestigious"
  20. "Liked" Go Zips
  21. way to represent CK. thanks for the heads up. It feels weird for other fan bases to actually care to hear about us. Go Zips!
  22. chip kelly?
  23. Chris Trapasso ‏@ChrisTrapasso 22m Some perspective: Trent Richardson's 298 NFL carries have gone for 1,055 yards. Willis McGahee's last 298 carries have gone for 1,359 yards. to add, the Browns werent doing anything this year. 5-6 wins tops. They realize Weeden sucks and there are some real nice QB prospects in this year's draft. The Colt's first round pick can be used to move up and get their guy if need be (hopefully Teddy). The Colts themselves know what a franchise QB can do right away to a horrible team.
  24. I dont see any connection between a bad NFL team leading to more support for a bad NCAA team. The Browns have been bad for 14 years, so a mass influx of new Zips supporters isnt going to occur all of the sudden. College and NFL aren't directly competing against each other. The Zips and only the Zips control the attention they receive. and on topic of the Browns- only short-sighted fools think this is a bad move for the organization. T-rich has proven to be nothing better than an average to slightly above average back so far. Sure as hell not worth the #3 pick. Lucky they got a first rounder out of him. Only RB in the league worth a first rounder goes by the name of Adrian Peterson. The RB position might be the most expendable in the NFL
  25. Cleveland sports radio/media has always been a joke. The trade isnt going to help Akron any. Cleveland has been, and always will be a Browns town. The Indians are .5 games out of the playoffs and all anyone wants to talk is the Browns.
