I think Carmelo did an OK job being the position he was in. Can he get in better shape in just a week to play a heavy load of minutes? Something I noticed: Can't was not worried about Melo on the offensive end at all. When he started the offense, after he made the first pass, his defender would actually leave him to double the guy he passed to. I am in the same boat as the OP- I think Harney looked the best at point in his limited time. Start Krezter/Gilliam/whoever in his spot at the 3, IMO.

That is why being able to review these hits are essential. Even though it will slow the game down even more (ugh)

Even though Geno is the fastest QB in this year's draft, I dont think his 151yds rushing on the season is comparable to Florence's (568) or Manziel's (1410). Bowden obviously knows the difference since he has hit on it. Pohl will be able to pick up the slack in the area where Williams lacked.

Winning in the NCAA tournament gets the program increased donations. That is the first step if we want to be anything like the other top mid-majors.

I agree. I am just as disappointed that the at-large is now out the window as everybody else on this board. The road to the NCAA tourney has narrowed, but I think we will be a better team because of this loss in the long run. This goes back to our scheduling/conference talk on the OU thread. Its a shame that a team cannot slip up on game in conference and have their at-large hopes go out the window.

You must not watch a lot of basketball, because losses like tonight are not uncommon at all. I can name many worse losses from top perennial teams in college basketball than what the Zips had tonight. This loss doesnt mean anything at all in putting us in a much tougher position. 11 seed, 12 seed, 13 seed; who cares. Seeding doesnt mean much, even less this year with the parity in college basketball. Its more about what team we draw and how we match up with them.

Saying the basketball team could beat the football team in football is an absolute joke of a comment. And as for the guy who made it, I'm glad you claim to rooting for Pedo State. I'll enjoy watching them fall into the depths of irrelevancy the next few years.
