Said it before and ill say it again. Hiring internally and not conducting a national coaching search for a program of our caliber where we can get almost anyone was a mistake.

Delusional is what some of us our. If he had gone to college, he would of played at OSU, over his hometown, high school coach and teammates. He "gives back" to Akron as a courtesy, good PR for him with the city. Not to mention, when he's home, playing with our team is a convenience to him. Where else is he going to play against decent competition? How many games has he attended since Dru and Romeo left; compared to Miami, Kentucky, and OSU? I wont deny that what he does helps to an extent, but it is usually overstated.

So why is OU able to get a game against OSU but not us? Save the "they're scared" excuse. They would be just as, if not more "afraid" of them than us.

I believe the MAC champ went to a top-rate bowl game last season. Impossible for us? If Can't would have knocked off NIU, they would have been there in their place. The MAC is set up nicely to go to a BCS bowl in the future, better than the present set up, anyways.
