I am not one to place blame on officiating, but those officials took control of the game. They did it on Miami's drive before the end of the 1st half, and their final drive of the game, arguably giving them 14 points. Looking at the replays, there was probably 1 of those personal fouls that should have been called, when one of the players late hit Dysert in the head. I hope the secondary, especially Ford, keeps up with the physical play, though. Those refs should be under review, because what happened out there wasnt right. Reviewing a penalty, only to reverse it and call a penalty on us?? You can't do that. I get that our defense sucked. I think a large part of this was because of the constant confusion our secondary had pre-snap every play. Guys mismatched, guys left open, etc. Whether it was the coaches or the player's fault, it is inexcusable not to know your assignment.

I am talking about "The U" as in Miami (FL), and all of their 300 fans.

Every game is definitely winnable. I said 4 games, being optimistic earlier in this thread. I'll now change that prediction to 5. Hopefully that prediction shows to be conservative. I do think we upset one of the "big 3" in NIU, Toledo, or OU.

I'd be afraid to go against Commack a whole game as well.

Isnt Goodman a converted QB? You know TB has ZD holding for a reason, instead of somebody like Pohl. He has something up his sleeve he is going to breakout at some point .

Great effort by the Zips last night. Nothing to be ashamed of, UT has a top QB and WR corp in the nation. We just didnt have the depth as a team to compete for 4 quarters, IMO. This team WILL make some noise during MAC play. Ohio, NIU, or Toledo. I'll predict we upset one of those 3. FIU almost beat #19 Louisville last night, too.

Whoever played at the stadium last night.. Firestone and somebody else I believe, looked to have a pretty good tailgating turnout. Looked more packed than ours..

You play to win the game. Winning this game would probably be as big, if not bigger than winning the MAC in the eyes of many people. I like Williams. It is nice to have a "real" QB working our offense, but if he goes down, I have plenty of confidence in Pohl. I hear Pohl actually has the better arm. Williams is just more comfortable in the offense and has leadership.
