Like the stability and rivalries, but leadership just seems a step behind every other conference. Content with status quo when everything is changing. Think we need a better TV deal and we missed out on adding WKU and MTSU, though the rumor is MTSU is the one who mixed that. Still, we only attempted to make that move after all the other dominoes fell.

Seems we run into these issues an abnormal amount time for a program not in a tornado or hurricane zone. Nebraska over storms, western Michigan for flooding, and now this.

Erie PA has a foot of snow already…Edgewood OH (near Ashtabula) has 16 inches. Its hitting Buffalo area the worst, but that isn’t the only place it’s hitting.

The problem is getting to I-86 east to begin with. Last I saw, just 60 miles East of Cleveland (Ashtabula) through Erie is getting dumped on as well, and I believe 90 may be shut down, or at least shut down to commercial traffic on that stretch. No realistic way to get the truck there, unless you expect them to to go to dang near Phili and go up and around.

Buffalo Bills cancelled practice today. Their players can't even drive 30 mins or less to attend practice, but delusional Canadians expect Akron to be there for the game. SMH.

How embarrassing

Imagine your NFL team having to leave with all the resources they have, but thinking there is no issue with your game going on as scheduled.

The issue with that is, as of right now, Buffalo needs the game in order to keep MAC-C hopes alive.

This is the answer, however this is Akron, so I doubt we could pull it off in short order. They should also play the NFL game in Cleveland.

I think I’d be shocked if there wasn’t some sort of postponement or the game being moved at this point.

No bowling for Kent

SDSU just played St Bonaventure at home last night. Tonight, they’re down in Arkansas taking on the #9 team in the nation. What a killer start to the season.

Don't forget about Big Dog around the basket! Re: Tribble, agree if he's going to mark his mark on the offensive side, it's going to be around that basket. His athleticism masks his size there, but the size still does prohibit him some. I remember being frustrated with Tribble at the beginning of last year, but he seemed to come around as the year went on. Hopefully he does the same again.

I kind of imagined, was just hoping for something more to be excited about. At the very least, we are establishing a relationship with a conference that is an upgrade in just about (maybe every?) sport. Down the road, who knows......one can dream, and the MAC has shown the willingness to take on football only members in the past.

That's great. Outside of the soccer program taking a step up in competition, does athletics as a whole benefit in any way? Such as a piece of whatever Big East media money is or scheduling agreements in other sports?

You caught me before I edited. BG is only showing ahead of Buffalo right now because Buffalo hasn't played their week 11 game yet.

There is a very real shot they play Toledo again in the MAC-C. Assuming Buffalo beats us, they'll be playing Kent State the last week of the season in a toss up and BG plays Ohio. Rourke looks like he got injured pretty good last night...A win for BG vs Ohio would give them the tiebreaker over the Bobcats. Essentially just need Buffalo to lose one of the last two and BG beat OU.
