  1. We (probably still are) were the worst program in the country outside of maybe UMASS and NMSU. Finish the season strong, and as @LoyalZIP said, very big offseason for the program.
  2. Weak roughing the passer call
  3. DJ keeps throwing it short of the sticks on 3rd down..
  4. Same old same old before the half for the D. Don’t understand why our corners are on islands in man so much.
  5. Spoke too soon.
  6. Liking the D generally so far. Making plays at/behind the LOS and not giving up big plays.
  7. Horrible OPI call imo. I also think Adams caught it.
  8. Still can’t keep a kickoff in bounds.
  9. I’ll settle for just outscoring them by one today lol
  10. I have 2 GA tickets for this game I can’t use if anyone wants them, message me.
  11. Count in me in as being a big fan of the MAC as well. Just wish the conference collectively would elevate in football and basketball. Money is obviously a large part of that and a lot of the conference members having enrollment decline doesn’t help. Additionally, I think I read somewhere the B1G’s new TV deal is paying $70mm per team, while I think we are getting something like $500k per team. We need to renegotiate that to at least a few mil a team. Don’t see any reason we shouldn’t be able to do that. I would’ve really liked to have us add any combination of JMU/Marshall/WKU/MTSU.
  12. I randomly checked my credit card last night and saw I was being charged $9.99/monthly for an online newspaper subscription, and it was the ABJ. I signed up for a promotion of $1 for a month back in the summer I think to read football articles. I'm not paying $9.99/month for that so I tried to cancel online, but of course they make you call. Called this morning and they offered to drop the $9.99/month down to $30/year. Still told them I wanted to cancel, then they offered me $9.99/year and I had to take that. Just wanted to share to Zn.O that you can get the ABJ subscription for less than a dollar a month for a year. Just need to call and say you want to cancel a few times. I also think they run pretty generous promotions for new subscribers as well.
  13. I went through the scholarship chart and counted 19 players who are not seniors that have been in the program multiple years, but aren't contributing at all, or are contributing, but clearly out of necessity as their play on the field has been subpar. Point being, there are plenty of opportunities to further filter and improve the roster next year. I have a feeling this losing is eating at Joe Mo as he's been a winner everywhere he's been and he will take full advantage of the transfer portal again for the upcoming recruiting class. In the words of @bigjim, In Joe I trust.
  14. Never losing a yard on a rush an entire season, assuming more than a handful of carries, seems like a pretty unbelievable stat.
  15. Should be another close one. Surprised their offense hasn't looked better now that Gabbert is back, but I will take it. I haven't watched them this season, but based on last year, I would key on Hippenhammer in the passing game and then focus on stopping the return. Single high safety with 7 in the box tells me we will struggle to run and Irons will have to deal with his usual pressure. Need to get the ball out quick and get rid of it if nothing opens up rather than take the sack. Learning to throw it away is Irons' biggest area for improvement. Lets hope we can finally breakthrough and get that elusive win against a FBS opponent.
  16. A note here, Gettman and Hester were put on scholarship recently.
  17. Thats a bummer. As @catdaddyp said, it might be an avenue to get his final year of his MBA paid for, which is kind of how the tweet reads. Regardless, I couldn't blame him for trying to find one year of "fun" football before his career is over.
  18. To me it’s hard to justify firing a coach whose improved their team over the prior year(s). If it were me, I’d keep Loeffler, but you never know what a new AD is going to come in and do.
  19. Agreed completely. I don't know the exact figures, but believe a QB sneak under center has to have something like a 90% success rate. For what its worth, I've seen other programs refuse to go under center in that situation as well. I think the excuse is they don't practice those snaps. With that said, GO UNDER CENTER.
  20. Wasel gets a lot of warranted hype, but lets not forget about Dijon Jennings. Should be a fun QB battle for the 24 season. https://247sports.com/Recruitment/Dijon-Jennings-127410/RecruitInterests/ https://www.hudl.com/profile/11113778/Dijon-Jennings
  21. Haven't seen anything official, but from what i've put together, I think he only does post game pressers after home games.
  22. Good question. I’d bet it’s Steele Wasel if we can keep him committed. The answer is going to a QB or RB IMO, and I don’t see a RB on the roster to make me think “that’s the guy”. Of course it could always be a transfer portal player at those positions not on the roster as well.
  23. Being a Zips and Browns fan is really tough considering football is the sport I have the most interest in. So many weeks without a win.
  24. We still can’t tackle.
