While some stunts or whatever may have not been used as a result of the score, the OL has still done a good job handling their man in pass protection, which I think is encouraging. Run blocking would appear to still leave a lot to desire, but DJ being a non-running threat last week made it easier on the defense as well.

Shredo is a nice gadget type RB for them, but Sibley doesn't yet have a reception this year, though did appear to have 2 targets last week.

There’s levels to this. Multiple payday games against top teams is worse than multiple pay day games (one against a top team and one against an average to below average P5) and so on. Sweet spot to me would be one pay day game against a middling P5 team, 2 G5 OOCs, and one FCS opponent. Even if the sweet spot doesn’t happen, it doesn’t mean scheduling can’t get a lot better, and it seems it will.

Spot on thought as usual, IMO. Only other things I’d add are: I thought pass protection was good the first 3 quarters. Think Irons was only sacked once at that point, though he did take a few other hits. Wiley in general hasn’t impressed me much yet. Agree on Norrils getting more PT. Seemed to me we took the Irons designed runs out of the playbook, which makes sense considering it was suprising he played. still like all of our WR threats even though Adams and Brank had inexcusable drops. The offense should be fun to watch during conference play. Defense is the wildcard. The injuries starting to pile up and Robinson and Threatt not working out thus far hurts as well. We had high expectations for them. I hope we can get Amankwaa and Richardson back. Both have been out with injury thus far and both are upgrades to the current starters IMO.

Lower body injury and day to day is all thats been shared. Better than saying out a month or season I suppose. The wording gives me hope for MAC play.

FWIW (and I'm not saying talent level didn't need upgraded), only 4 of them were scholarship players - Marousek, Singleton, Wade, and B Bischoff. B Bischof was brought in by Bowden and Singleton is def a D-1 player...was getting many reps by the new staff. I think grades were issue there. Marousek and maybe Wade would have been the only real whiff there by Arth.

Call me crazy, but I think living in our region of the country is going to be more desirable as time goes on. We have a significant amount of the most valuable resource in the world right here - water. Anyone see what's going on out west? No water, no electricity, forest fires, warming temperatures. Happy to vacation there, but I wouldn't want to live there.
