According to ticketmaster, here are the opponents our boys will take on at FES-CCF this fall. Very impressive job if all are true. Jared continues to bring in quality and well known teams. One thing I noticed was the lack (only 1) big ten home opponent. I know Michigan state and Ohio state will be road match ups but that might be it for big ten competition this season.

It is partially to blame on the Rowdies and marketing department. And that's coming from someone still actively involved in the rowdies. The effort just isn't there to get people in the gate. The marketing department in athletics is the most inactive in all the years I have been at Akron. Our social media presence has completely diminished. Granted, the interest isn't there either by the General student/fan population which is beyond my understanding to figure out. The ABJ has been doing a decent job late in the season, we have been front page multiple times recently. Not a plain dealer reader but it would be nice to get some coverage outside of the Akron area.

I would almost rather have Richie get his 5th yellow against ucla and lose him for BG than risk him getting his 5th in a tourny game and losing him for the next tourny game. But this is all based on the assumption that he will in fact earn another yellow at some point this season.

You're absolutely right. Pretty much our only quality scoring opportunities were the ones that resulted in a penalty kick. The first one would have been a for sure goal for Richie had he not been tackled. It was nice to see at least one goal come from the run of play with Sam's goal. The Spartan goalkeeper only made 1 save which means we only had one Shot on goal aside from the 3 PKs and the 1 other goal. Very disappointing. We don't often get outshot on or off goal. This match Saturday in Kalamazoo very well could be our toughest conference test. I will be making the drive to see the game. Any one else going?

Jared Embick wants Zips fans to travel to East Lansing for the match vs. MSU. Match is at 4pm, East Lansing is less than 4 hours away from Akron. Very doable! This team needs our support on the road, especiallt against these tough B1G schools. (We play at Penn State Wed Nov 5th)

I know someone at my church that grew up with Caleb, and is still good friends with him. From what I heard from him, he doesn't expect to play at all his freshman year (red shirt obviously) but "has a strong case to compete for starting QB in 2015" Just passing along that info, not that it has much significance.

We already had to play there once earlier in the season, and ended losing in OT. It might be too much to ask the NCAA to use their head and grant Akron the home field...but this all doesn't matter until we beat Marquette and St. Johns hopefully beats Virginia (Although wouldn't a rematch of the 2009 Title match be a fun one in the sweet 16?)

Jonas was nowhere to be found this weekend in cleveland? I know I saw darius hoisten in the stands for both mens games, and he even met the team on the court following the win saturday, but still no jonas? I know its as minor of a detail as anyone could be worried about right now, but seeing as how hes the unoffical fan favorite, I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight.
