in today's 3rd and final game, it looks like Emmanuel was subbed in at the 60 minute mark tweet from baby nats abroad: 60' Subs - Sabbi on for Saucedo, Yueill on for Acosta. I did not get home from work and start watching until the 67th minute. They had Emmanuel playing the middle of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 position. I saw Emmanuel make one good tackle which resulted in a takeaway and could hear someone yell "great effort, Sabbi.". 2.5 minutes Into Stoppage time with the US leading 3-2, Emmanuel had a good run with the ball up the field...but he was 1 on 4....so he was very unselfish and did not try to score and just tried to use up clock. Baby nats abroad tweeted that he was clearly fouled and the German team took the ball and went up and scored shortly before time ran out. Emmanuel might have received a yellow card when he was trying to steal the ball while I was watching (camera was very far away and video was terrible). I did see him make 2 unselfish passes. here is what baby nats abroad tweeted: It ends 3-3 after a horrendous offisides call and then a no-call after Sabbi was clearly fouled. TSG then took it up and equalized. in the 3 games, Emmanuel played 20 minutes, 90 minutes and 30 minutes plus stoppage time.....so over 140 minutes out of a possible 270 and change many of the other forwards have already played in college...Elney from Maryland and Ebobisse from Duke started in the first game. The little I saw today....showed a player who was willing to pass and willing to play defense. I did not get to see Emmanuel much with the ball on the move....but I am very much looking forward to this young man and the other outstanding Akron recruits in the fall.

Looks like Emmanuel right now is one of the 6 young men in the running for the top drawer soccer 18 and under soccer player of the year. As a zip fan, I am very glad that two members of the Chicago Magic team (Jesus Perez and Emmanuel Sabbi) will be continuing to build on their teamwork and success as Akron Zips in the fall. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-soccer-articles/club-poty:-sanchez-sabbi-go-international_aid39013

I have not seen a lineup yet for today's under 20 game...(2nd game against Fulham) here is a writeup from the other team's webiste on how Emmanuel Sabbi scorred: The US, though, went in front in the 17th minute when a corner was only partially cleared and a striker fired home. looks like Emmanuel played the last 20 minutes against Monterrey in the first game. Indeed, quite an honor for Emmanuel. I am looking forward to seeing Emmanuel and his friend and Chicago Magic teammate...Jesus Perez work their magic along with 9 other zips next fall. I have not looked to see where we will able to watch the Sunday game online. Travis Clark tweeted that the u-20 game will be streamed live on Sunday. .@dallascup announces that games will be streamed live again, including the U.S. U20 MNT vs. Monterrey on Sunday.

I think Wadszip might have been asking about this young man....on the u-20 team John Nelson (Internationals SC; Medina, OH), if you were, John Nelson is a high school junior....and he is the #1 rated high school junior. From what I have read, Nelson wants to play in Europe as soon as he is done with high school. The top 7 or 8 ranked players in the country have all been bypassing college. This year, Emmanuel Sabbi is ranked #11 or #13 (depending on ranking) and he is the 3rd highest ranked player that will be attending college.

TennZip replied to TennZip's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
that looks like a championship group.....even though I was no where close to identifying the 21 players and the team manager correctly add in an Emmanuel , a Jon, a Nicolas, an Alex, a Marcel, a Reggie, a Jesus, and a Tor....and I am looking forward to watching this team play some great soccer and ME87....was kind enough to tell me in a note that Niko De Vera, Tyler Sanda and Adi Dakwar were not in the photo above.....add Niko, Tyler and Adi and the new recruits and hopefully that group of 32 players will be providing great soccer all the way to Houston in December go, Zips -
