So many new players to look forward to seeing in the fall.... and yes....due to injury, I am specifically including Braden Petno with the group of players that will be coming to the Akron campus Marco and Abdi will have great senior seasons. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-soccer-articles/boys-dev-acad-playoffs-standouts:-day-3_aid44260 here is what they said about young Mr. Biros Colin Biros, Crew SC Academy - Biros scored two goals in the first half in the win over Kendall SC. Crew rolled to a 6-2 win over Kendall in a game full of fireworks. The talented midfielder was firmly involved in the attacking third throughout the first half.

Zip_ME87, thanks for all of the great reports Carlo and Colin both picked as outstanding performers on day 3...the writeup on Carlo is incredible https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-soccer-articles/boys-dev-acad-playoffs-standouts:-day-3_aid44260 Carlo Ritaccio, BW Gottschee Academy - The score would have been much worse without Ritaccio on the field for BW Gottschee. He had a spell of a few minutes where he cut off a pass with a great sliding block then played a beautiful outlet pass to the center forward. BW Gottschee lost possession of the ball a minute later and Ritaccio had to pull off a similar manuever to prevent another RSL attack. It was a glimpse into how meaningful he is to his current team and his potential at Akron. Ritaccio is one of those players who could be an immediate impact player in college. He could be the center back for Akron that starts the attack and breaks down teams that try to bunker. He has the skill on the ball and the vision to bring something to the squad to make Akron a title contender.

http://www.espn.com/soccer/blog/the-match/60/post/3520038/usa-shows-progress-vs-france-has-hope-after-world-cup-woe "It's wonderful," midfielder Wil Trapp said. "It's not always going to be pretty. We understood that. Look, it's one of the best teams in the world, favorites for the World Cup, and I thought we adjusted really well. We scored the goal first, shocked them a little bit, and then weathered the storm." "I think it's a huge step for us as professionals, and as a group, not listening to outside noise," Trapp said. "And believing in ourselves and believing in each other in adverse situations, that's a huge experience for young players, and of melding together and continuing to grow."
