it is nice to see some discussion on the board The 2009 team had many talented freshman and went 23-0-0 Last year's final four team had Joao and Daniel Strachan as the 2 starting center backs Daniel Strachan is going to be excellent for the zips again this year...whether he is a center DB...or if he is a holding midfielder (as shown in the lineup bravely submitted by buflobo). Two players...that have not been mentioned yet,...redshirt freshman Braden Petno and Colin Biros, will both be able to contribute up front this year . The addition of 2 exciting , skilled seniors (Marco and Abdi) adds so much to this year's team. If this team has 5 freshman starting by NCAA tourney time, I think that this team will go very deep in the tourney as that will mean that the recruits are as good as their press clippings.

https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/938760 1. As the two players that have played every minute of the season for Orange County SC, midfielder Aodhan Quinn and forward Thomas Enevoldsen have been arguably the club’s two most important players in 2018 and they made a key difference in the second half to allow the hosts to claim a point in a 2-2 draw with the Portland Timbers 2 on Wednesday despite a sluggish first half. Quinn recorded a goal and assist, while Enevoldsen moved back into a tie for the league-lead with his 12th goal of the season to equalize with six minutes to go as Orange County’s undefeated streak reached four games.

It appears the Zips match at MSU on October 9th will be televised. that news.....makes me happy....and I see that the game is at 7 eastern time. When I saw that the game was at MSU, I was expecting the game to be on in the afternoon.

Brooke Tunstall is tweeting and campaigning vigorously for the great Jonathan Lewis to get more playing time first tweet: In his last 5 games, @Jon_lewis710 has a goal and 3 assists and, assuming he plays all of the rest of the game, will have done that in 121 minutes. Maybe @NYCFC needs to give the kid a bit more playing time. #DifferenceMaker #SEAvNYC #USYNT @ZipsMSoc 3:43 PM - 29 Jul 2018 Brooke Tunstall @YesThatBrooke 21h21 hours ago By contrast to Lewis, Rodney Wallace has one assist this season in over 700 minutes. Yet somehow he's started 8 games for #NYCFC and Lewis hasn't started any. How much longer can @NYCFC keep Wallace ahead of Lewis on the depth chart? #SEAvNYC

JLew played 35 minutes last night and had an assist https://www.nycfc.com/post/2018/07/14/five-things-party-city When the goal came, it was thanks to a heavy contribution from second half substitute Jonathan Lewis, who has helped make the difference in each of our three wins this week. This time, Jonathan had the presence of mind to take the two extra touches which gave him the time and space to pick out Jesus Medina, after his initial shot had come back off the post. It was his longest run-out under Torrent, who will really feel like he has an ace up his sleeve with the dynamic young American who is reliably contributing assists and goals in his cameos
