  1. By the end of Friday Night's games...Akron moved even further higher in gaucho dan rpi zips were 21 immediately after win now show as 18 WVU dropped from 18 to 19 the late result that really helped the zips was grand canyon defeating a top 20 team (Air force had been 15-3-0) if Grand Canyon can win their conference tourney, that will really help the zips in the rpi Grand Canyon was another quality win for the zips on the road Washington also knocked off Oregon State late in the day....and that pushed Washington even higher in rpi http://rpiupdatemenssoccer.blogspot.com/2018/11/110918-scheduleresults.html
  2. beacon has a few quotes https://www.ohio.com/sports/20181109/on-record-ua-soccer-tops-wvu-to-reach-mac-final
  3. This is the rpi conference rankings that I am talking about http://rpiupdatemenssoccer.blogspot.com/search/label/Conference RPI Rank the MAC is ranked higher than the big Ten and much, much higher than the Big East
  4. We can agree to disagree. I hope that the zips win and that this is a moot point. If WMU wins, the MAC will get 3 teams in. When the RPI ranks the conferences this year, the MAC ranks very highly. Akron has quality wins over Michigan State and Creighton. Both West Virginia and Akron have a win over Pitt. Pitt knocked off Virginia in the round of 16 in the ACC and Virginia was 5 in the rpi at the that time. Pitt lost on PK's in the next round of ACC tourney to Duke...who was 10 in RPI. As well as they played today, I am very confident on how the zips will do on Sunday. it also helps that Western Michigan was not a top 2 seed and has also played two games this week.
  5. Akron jumps from 33 before the match RPI....all the way up to number 21 West Virginia was #13 before the match...gaucho dan has them at 18 after the match Western Michigan is 44 in the RPI after their win the most knowledgeable college soccer fan on big soccer.com thinks that the cutoff to get into the NCAA is an RPI of around 40
  6. 16-3 in shots 9-2 in corners 5 -2 in shots on goal very happy to see Ezana, the 5th year senior get the 2nd goal
  7. I am still at work and can't watch how did the quick goal happen?
  8. at 72:52 in the first semi, #3 seed Western Michigan leads 2nd seed Bowling Green 2-0 for RPI purposes....that would be a good result to get BGSU out of the tourney as their RPI is 120-ish
  9. zips will have to shut down this mountaineer https://www.dominionpost.com/2018/11/08/west-virginia-midfielder-joey-piatczyc-takes-mac-player-of-the-year/

  11. https://wvusports.com/news/2018/11/8/mens-soccer-wvu-hosts-mac-championship-friday-vs-akron.aspx With the men's basketball team playing at 9 p.m. Friday night, parking will be extremely limited in the parking lots around the WVU Coliseum Complex on Friday. Fans who arrive to park for the men's soccer MAC semifinals in the Natatorium/Band lot before 6 p.m. can park free of charge. Fans who arrive after 6 p.m. to park in the Natatorium/Band lot will be charged $10 for parking to attend either the soccer match or the basketball game.
  12. if the zips can win the mac, they should move into the mid to high 20's for RPI...and get to host a round of 64 game one game at a time though.... they have to play for 90 minutes and get past West Virginia on Friday night

  14. Gaucho Dan Rpi showing the zips at 33 after tonights win
  15. No, he is in now....at 71 minutes 3 games in 6 days is rough.... the zips have a lot of good depth at forward with marcel, Ezana,Diogo and David Egbo.... Hopefully, David will be rested and ready to score against the top seed on Friday
