  1. This isn't exactly from MAC media day, but it's on its heels. Besides, I didn't think it merited a whole new thread. CBS Sports Tim Brando Show - terry-bowden-weighs-in-on-new-targeting-rule
  2. This should come as no surprise, but Franco is transferring to IUP.
  3. Just got done reading this. Excellent stuff from Zac Jackson!
  4. +1 Zach Paul had a solid 2012 and is getting better. But, I'm glad they're addressing future special teams NOW
  5. Absolutely! Getting other MAC boards involved is pure genius!
  6. I, for one, have never said that the big money schools wouldn't one day be allowed to form their own division within the NCAA. I have been far more skeptical that 64 "football schools", divided neatly into 4, 16-team leagues, would break completely from the NCAA. My main reason has been the difficulty in selecting those 64 teams, especially when talking into account other sports, most notably basketball. Nothing Staples writes here makes me think otherwise.
  7. WBIR in Philadelphia (?) has this MAC preview I'm not sure I agree with all of it, but at least this guy did his homework.
  8. I just noticed on the GoZips roster that MTB is #1.......offensive break-out POTY baby!!!
  9. Muncie Star-Press Article
  10. I predict the ‘Meister will enjoy comparing the thread title to TB’s actual quote.
  11. If only Old Grand Dad would work its rot gut magic EVERY week I think the Roo Walk has potential. Maybe a "no doubt about it" chant could find a place. I've always enjoyed Eat 'em up, eat 'em up. Go Zips go!
  12. My son gave me a sixpack of these tonight, so I'll look forward to trying them. We also stopped at the MELT in Independence and had the Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier on tap --> excellent!!!!
  13. If the Zips wind up no better than most of these prognostications indicate, THIS GUY thinks TB could lose his job. I this will be a moot point, because I expect enough improvement in the win column (at least 4) to get the momentum turned around. Honestly, I'd like to think the seat is a little hot. I think this staff is motivated by pressure.
  14. Seems like he had about as much trouble staying eligible as he did not being last in wind sprints. There was a time when I thought he could provide useful snaps, but with the array of D-Line talent now on the roster I'm not concerned over this loss.
  15. Agreed, although their reps should (hopefully) be reduced quite a bit. It may be hard to distinguish the “starters” on the D-line by the end of the year, and I think that will be a good thing. Few players gave more effort than Nico or Cody last year.
  16. I would add Paul, Switzer, Stein and Freeman.
  17. Good start on a list, although I'm pretty sure Dwight Smith was a freshmen recruit out of Detroit. Here are a few more: Andy Alleman (Pitt) Konrad Dean (Temple) Ryan Myers (Ashland) JD Griggs (Iowa.....why not?) Lew Lawhorn (Temple) Yasin Reeder (Pacific - dropped football)
  18. I am by no means a Buckeye fan, but I wonder how much influence this guy had on Se'Von's decision?
  19. I'll take it one more step. I'll predict that 'Meister will predict that the MAC media will predict the following: MAC East Bowling Green Ohio Miami K.E.N.T. Akron Buffalo UMass MAC West NIU Toledo Ball St WMU CMU EMU Bowling Green over NIU in Championship Game
  20. Wow. Great, sincere point 'Meister You didn't even have to mention bus accidents or highlight improper use of a homonym
  21. So much for this guy playing for his uncle.
  22. This recent article would appear to say NO.
  23. Awesome read! Thanks for posting. I have to admit I've been the one to inquire whether CP's college to pro transition might resemble John Calipari's somewhat, given the boatload of talent both coaches have assembled in college. But this notion has been utterly refuted by the play of Timbers this season! CP, you are the man!
