A lot of angry Rowdies tonight. The Band has moved from the south side to the north side seats and is taking up the entire side nearly. It's kicked out a bunch of regulars on the North side (me included). I'm not too worked up over it but a few others are. It makes you wonder why they dont just sit up top in their designated area?

Yes, incredibly obvious to the three people in the upper deck even. It was mind blowing that he blew that timeout. Also... That is entirely wrong. College football has a 25 second play clock so all of that is out the window. There would have been plenty of time.

iCoach is a loser. Should never ahve wasted that last time out. What an idiotic decision. I agree. If we had that one timeout, Miami would have had to punt again. Which was a lot better option than trying to overturn a fumble call that happened while a receiver was clearly upright on both feet running with the football. Not only would we have had time but Miami was punting from deep in their territory and into the wind. We could have had 30 seconds and a few shots at the endzone after just one first down. Probably unlikely with how bad our passing game is but you never know. Stupid moves on little things like that are not supposed to be made by Division 1 college coaches. We've seen these kind of things more than once this year as well.

I'd take that line in a second. This YSU team has only three returning letter winners but they have two transfers that are getting significant time. One from UNC Greensboro and the other from some DIII school. The problems quickzips speaks of on the boards may be due to forward Damian Eargle and Tre Brewer. They are each bringing in over 10 rebounds per game so far this season. The other thing of note is that their biggest guy that plays is 6'8" and only 240. Their other big guys are both 6'7"/215 and one of them plays the two guard so Zeke should run wild on their "big" guys. Hell Bardo could do the same if he could make a four footer. ASN Preview

If that is really the case, shouldn't every school get an A? I mean does anyone really believe that in this day in age some school is going to take a chance at being perceived as racist? Everyone does their best to avoid that by interviewing an interested black coach im sure, which btw there aren't very many of. I remember an ESPN: E60 piece on that a year or two ago. The only racist thing i see is interviewing coaches just because they are black. Another thing, if we would have just hired Winters we could have got an "A+"! AND we might have had a better football team.

Is the photo of the tailgate lot accurate? Looks pretty light out to be "around the time of kickoff"???? Lot 9 was dark around kickoff time, and it had tailgaters in it. I was thinking this was meant to be funny, especially since I don't recognize the lot at all. But thanks for pointing out the lack of darkness too. Exactly...it was a joke. I completely forgot to take a picture of the tailgate lot before the game. It was sickening though to see the lot about 1/4th full with very few tailgaters. The few that were there did seem to be cooking up something fantastic however.

Promise them all degrees if they show for the last 2 games. You should have seen the line for free pizza yesterday around kick off. It was huge until nearly the entire line broke up when informed that they had to have a voucher that was supposed to be given to them at the student entrance. I came in that entrance with 20 minutes left on the clock before the game and there was no person to be found. My buddy asked an usher standing near the gate what the deal was and he said the lady passing them out was done. Needless to say, pretty bad set up that they turned away all of those people especially when i got to my seat and found out they gave my gf 3 pieces of pizza! (she arrived earlier after class). So i got some pizza still but wow what a mess.

haha yep btw the WVU students were chanting "bring on akron" at the end. Guess they dont know what they are getting into.

The announcer for this game just called Akron the "reigning national champion" for the second time. That sounds pretty good, let's make him right this year!

The rule applies in the regular season so i would think so. btw 4-2 WVU now...looks like the Mountaineers are coming to Akron. Another thing: The guy with the ponytail is going to get an EARFUL from the Rowdies Sunday.

I will say one more thing about the game and i think many of you would agree. It was a hell of a good time! The team entertained for the first time at home all year. I went with a big group, and for three of them it was their first game. After the game, they actually wanted to come again. Maybe it was partly due to our beautiful stadium but hey for once we didn't embarrass ourselves entirely. ASN take on the game.

Are you kidding me? Anyone who watched the game would blame the coaching staff as well. The play calling for much of the game was idiotic. Every third and long we'd call for a screen pass, how are you supposed to pick up a 1st down when you're throwing 5+ yards behind the first down marker and expecting our sorry receivers to get yards after the catch? Not only that, after the fumble we wasted a timeout that we could have used to get the ball back with 30 seconds or so left. Doesn't seem like much but they were punting deep in their own territory, it wouldn't have been a long drive, hell we probably could have taken a shot at the endzone at least. Also, if you think the timeout was to kill time for a challenge, you're nuts, that was the most obvious fumble in football history.
