  1. GREAT WIN....my bracket is thriving right now.
  2. Believe it or not, some of us have hopes of being more than a one-bid conference. What does it say if Ohio wins a game or two and K-ent goes deep in the NIT? These are all small steps toward recognition for the conference. Now we just need to develop an answer from Basset and Cooper. Humpty? D-Rob? Helloooo? Anyone home? Ohio winning will have no effect on the MAC getting multiple bids. Winning one game, you are correct. OU goes to the Sweet 16 and K-ENT goes to the semis and there IS an impact, and just maybe not always a one bid conference. To get at large bids you have to prove yours teams can win in the dance. You have to prove it in the OOC schedule. Previous tourney success means NOTHING. Until the MAC proves it in the OOC schedule and improves their RPI's, they aren't going to be getting at-large bids regardless of how many tourney runs they make. If previous tourneys mean nothing then how did Duke get a 1 seed? How did Xavier get a 6 seed?! Trust me, it means something.

  4. Nothing wrong with being bitter about a loss...VMD just has to understand that OU winning is good for the conference and therefore good for Zips. Don't we get a piece of that payout if they win a game in the tournament?
  5. Go to CBSsports.com and click watch live under the Ohio game. Much better than watching TV.
  6. Come on now VMD...lets say we "lost to a team that is hitting on all cylinders and even beat up Georgetown". Sounds alot better than "they didnt deserve to be there".
  7. I'm a kid. I'll savor my childhood and hate everyone I want. Get ready for Hoya Paranoia!!!! I hope Georgetown wipes the floor with those B****** from Ohio. and I don't think it could've been any more obvious we got SCREWED big time! even if we had Lebron James on our team the Tim Donaghys that run the MAC would have had Ohio win Even though it was painfully obvious that the Bobcats didn't deserve that win and had it handed to them by us and the officials, we should still hope for them to win on a big stage like this. It makes the loss to them look like less of a fluke as well as gives the MAC some legitimacy.
  8. EXACTLY. A true Zips fan cannot be against this because regardless of if we would have made it this year with it or not, (we wouldn't have) we still would have a better opportunity and how could anyone be against that?!
  9. Without even mentioning the amount of heart and hustle that Robert Morris showed, what a joke of a crew those officials were. Admittedly my bracket would have been BUSTED if Villanova would have lost but it's hard not to feel bad for the Robert Morris guys who seemed to have the game snatched from their hands by the refs. Scottie Reynolds must have had 4-5 trips to the free throw line that were not warranted in any way and with all the foul calls it made RMU play the final 10 minutes of the game with 3 starters fouled out. Anyone else watch?
  10. Wow. At least we had more than VCU/GW Other CBI attendance Wed. Duq at Princton - 665 Charl at EKY - 1,750 Col. St. at Morehead St - 2,202 eww we poo eee at Hofstra - 952 BU at Oregon St - 2,913 and in the NIT Tulsa at Can't - 1,175 (not much better) Perhaps it's a good thing that these tournaments will be a thing of the past if/when NCAA goes to 96 teams. (are they doing this for sure?) I hope so. I dont get how any zips fan can be against expanding a tournament that we have trouble getting into. 32 more teams = a better chance...period.
  11. Probably why he posted in the "soccer" forum.
  12. to be fair...4 were wearing green shirts for st patty's day. No seriously, what an embarrassment. I said the same thing myself yesterday.
  13. It's funny how people screamed for athleticism after we lost to K.e.n.t. I said we need guys that can flat-out ball. Now we lose to a very earth-bound, slow, mediocre mid-major at home, and it is proven again - we need guys that can ball. We have a bunch of role players. We have no bad-ass MFer's that can flat-out ball. We can't even defend anymore. If Euton, Egner or Green can shoot, I'd give them 30 minutes/game next year, right off the bat. If they can hold an opposing guard under 30 points, I'd give them 40 minutes per game. If Euton isn't playing upwards of 25 minutes per game i'd be either concerned why we are losing without playing him or shocked that someone actually stepped up.
  14. Apparently you did not watch...a tough travelling call cost Walsh the game on their last possession. I actually think the MAC officials called that one.
  15. What's his excuse for the other 20 games he "missed"? I'd like to know the answer to this as well....maybe D Rob knows.
  16. They should be embarrassed, i am. I cant think of anything positive from that game besides the play of Chris McKnight. Too bad Brett had to erase his brothers big night with his bonehead shot selection though.
  17. I'm expecting some belligerent fans there tonight. What's better than drinking heavily and going to watch the Zips?
  18. We should just send him a giant basket with the refs from the MAC Championship game in it.
  19. More like womens beach vollleyball...now that's what i want to see. That's an NCAA sport right? haha
  20. bump...the best thing you can do is RSVP to this and click the share button on the page. The morepeople that know about these things the better.
  21. Skyway onion rings yummmm...just had them for dinner tonight.
  22. Any team that buys into the CBI is signaling the rest of of the world "Hey look at us; we are desperate for attention." If that were the case, it would mean that people pay attention to the CBI. I don't think that's the case. I like the CBI. More competitive basketball at the JAR is always good. My over/under is 2,900. Quick, tell me three teams that played in the CBI the last two years? Who won it all each year to take home the title of "we're #98 or whatever"? No peaking now. Tulsa and Oregon State I have no idea whether you answered the second question correctly or not, but if you did you either peaked or you have no life whatsoever. I dont know if you are implying that my knowledge "peaked" at this moment or that i "peeked" but i actually had heard of this tournament before and even watched a title game in it last year. Just pay attention to college basketball a little bit and you'll pick up things like that.
  23. All i know is Nick Dials should be in anyone's 1st team. He, along with Wood, Joyce, Romeo, and Linhart are no doubters.

  25. I'm not too confident in anything more than 1000 people. I wouldn't be surprised with 400 either.
