I called The Q and they said they were not doing the Ohio Lottery promotion this year. The Ohio Lottery office said the same. I had also called and emailed the MAC first, but have not heard back. They were unsure. Please let me now if anyone has definite confirming information (i.e. Tweet, press release, etc.) to the contrary. I was really hoping to take advantage of the promotion this year. (Maybe 92.3 is running an old commercial?)

Schedule on Gozips.com says CBS Sports Network.

Thanks, I don't listen to 92.3 much. Hopefully more details will be posted soon. I know most of how they handled it before, but sometimes things change.

I called the MAC, but got the voicemail of the person they forwarded me to. Rather than play phone tag, I sent the guy an email. I'll let you guys know if/when they respond.

Has anybody seen anything about an Ohio Lottery/MAC Tournament 2 for 1 deal yet this year? It always seems to be hard to find.

Great win yesterday. The ABJ ran a nice article on Coach Jackson last Thursday. It would have been nicer to run it the day of a game, but timing isn't always their strong point. https://www.ohio.com/sports/20190220/university-of-akron-womens-basketball-first-year-coach-melissa-jackson-infusing-enthusiasm-into-zips-program

I'm pretty sure the Roo Express still runs that route, so I guess that helps. It might help even more to drop off closer to the JAR.

Does the university ever offer shuttle buses to the JAR from the Exchange Street dorms/apartments, etc? Yeah, it's not a terribly long walk, but after a long day of classes, they might not be too keen on trudging back across windy Jackson Field on a cold, windy, rainy or frigid snowy night. I know it can be brutal just walking in from the Route 8 deck. Seems like it could drop them off where the Union Street access road ends close to the JAR.

I can't say I'm much of a fan of the coach's "tell like it is" postgame interviews at times. I saw a team last night that battled the #25 team in the country down to the wire and constantly fought to stay in the game when it looked like it could slip away completely. There was nothing "putrid" about their performance. I admit there were times I wish his predecessor would have been a little more critical in postgame interviews, but most of that should be kept in house. Don't be satisfied with a close loss, but build on the positives and work hard in practice to address the negatives. This is about the time last year that the poor attitude comments started creeping in. Hopefully it won't lead to more exits, we've already lost 3 players this year. I'm encouraged by our performance this year, especially considering we have so few players who even played significant minutes here last year.

Maybe they should have promoted there was free parking tonight. No one in the deck to collect money or parking pass stubs.

Like the men, it's early yet. Really good top 4. Zips still a work in progress, but it sure beats losing 19 MAC games in row.

Plus a Beat Kent State rally towel to the first 1,000 fans! Not sure why they give away 3000 t-shirts at a game only 2000 people will attend, but only 1000 to a big game like this. Plus, it doesn't draw people to the game to announce it the day of. Maybe if they gave away more One Akron items, people would start to wonder what it means. I'm still not sure.

Everybody gets better on Signing Day, especially football. Check back in 2 years.

The MAC posted this as one of the top 5 plays of the week. I thought Geez, isnt that a blatant travel?

Game 20- Northern Illinois Huskies

I had to Google that too, which didn't bring up an obvious example. Again, why do they wait until game day to promote this? -
After seeing the $10 parking charge, I did a little internet research on what others charge. Some info was tough to find and a little sketchy and others had none, but this is what I could find: Buffalo - FREE YSU - $5 KSU - $3 and FREE Toledo - included in cost of single game ticket OSU - $10 max WMU - FREE UC - $10 Miami - $5 BGSU - $10 and $5 NIU - FREE CMU - $10 and FREE Doubling your parking fee when your team is rebuilding and your attendance is plummeting is not a way to attract fans. I also think most of the main concession items are $1 too high.

I saw him in the JAR lobby after the game talking to some adults.
